Reddi4change 27 Posted March 15, 2012 At first I felt so restricted and closterphobic...but now that I am healing and able to do more, I actually love the feeling of getting full after a few bites. I am glad to get to this stage!!! 1 Meljp reacted to this

Lissa 2,631 Posted March 15, 2012 Yay, Reddi!! That's an amazing feeling, isnt it? You're gonna adore your sleeve as your best friend before it's all done! As mad as I get at Rex for keeping me from eating all of something, every time I get on that scale or drop a size, I remember to thank him for the work he's doing! 1 Reddi4change reacted to this

Reddi4change 27 Posted March 15, 2012 Star..I started to feel better after about a month...realistically. I didnt feel "terrible" during the whole process...but after a month you feel a LOT better!! 1 starsleeve reacted to this
wishes 125 Posted March 15, 2012 Yeah, I definitely feel what you mean by being a slave to the food in front of you. I really can't thank my sleeve enough for giving me the freedom to walk away. I am so happy for you. Good luck on your journey!
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted March 15, 2012 It does get so much better as we heal. I still have times when I eat stuff I shouldn't and I wasn't even hungry. And times I am very cautious about putting things in my sleeve. I'm very protective of it. LOL
100%Sleeved 148 Posted March 15, 2012 Yes it does get better.
Meljp 36 Posted March 15, 2012 Huge Congrats to YOU!!! I feel the same way!! I was sleeved on 2-27 and the only thing that bothers me is swallowing (some) pills...capsules are not my friend and yesterday one came back up..TMI I know, but important for some..it was the first time I have thrown up....small tablets are fine, so I will have to find other brands that will go down without problems...I love the restriction....the feel of being full after a small amount of food!!! I told hubs today at dinner...I love it!! I used to wake up EVERY morning and I swear the very first thing I would think of was food....Not now...that in itself is such a blessing!!! favoredone 590 Posted March 15, 2012 Everyday is an interesting, yet fulfilling one w/ Sleevina!!! She's something else!! But, each day does get better as you learn to navigate and appreciate life pre-sleeve.. It helps me to remember that this is a journey and I have to submit to it, moment by moment! readyforachange 51 Posted March 15, 2012 Hey Reddi, we were sleeved the same day! I am sooooo happy I had this surgery. I'm getting comments that I've lost weight. I can really see the 20lb. loss! Excited for the future. Just having a hard time being patient! I've always said the first 2 weeks were the hardest. My energy has been slow, but I think it's because I've had a hard time getting in my Protein. I've started making shakes and that has solved that problem. I already see the change in my pep!
