2ndtimesacharm 35 Posted March 15, 2012 My first day home after my surgery and it is a bit more challenging than I thought! I am not hungry at all but I have finally come to understand that I have an addiction to food. The minute my eye caught a piece of soda bread I instantly wanted to gab it. I have my eye on the prize but this is no quick fix, gonna take a lot f willpower and strength. 2 PEvette and New1 reacted to this
Liliana Arleen 173 Posted March 15, 2012 I agree with you, this surgery is not like we took a magic pill. Is not an easy journey but at least we are able to eat in small quantities now Congrats and a speedy recovery to you! 1 2ndtimesacharm reacted to this
CCWriter 19 Posted March 15, 2012 I think the first week, when you're trying to wrap your mind around having had surgery, is probably the toughest part. Your tummy isn't happy at all; you're drinking liquids for two weeks; you're thinking when do I get to chew again? The answer is -- soon. It's all going to be all right. You'll graduate to mushies (scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, etc.) and they're going to be pretty darn wonderful when you get there. I thought scrambled eggs tasted like heaven. Hang in there. It'll get better. I promise and so do a whole lot of other folks on this site. Best, Carol
