My Primary Has Had My Papers For Over A Week?

Recommended Posts

I am just so angry at my primary as he's had my paperwork that was needed by today, for over a week now and still hasn't faxed or sent anything over to my surgeons office so that she can submit for approval. I will now have to wait until Monday as Stacy *the one who submits and takes care of the approvals* is out until then..she even tried to call my pcp's office today and of course they are closed..I am just so upset and I even spoke to the office last week regarding this and that I needed it done asap! I don't want to be ignorant to them but I am pretty much on my last nerve here..any suggestions? my therapist has cleared me and faxed the letter the same day. I have my dietician class on the 26th and am hoping to have surgery in April mid month..BUT I need my clearance and paperwork from my primary!

If no luck Monday, show up at their offices! I would for sure! They care, but not as much as you do. :D

That has got to be so frustrating! I wish you the best of luck. And I agree with the above poster: go totheir office if you have to.

I didn't trust my doctors staff enough to fax over my sonogram results or letter if necessity..I gave them a week to write it and get the results...called them and had them make copies..I drove the papers down to my surgeon myself so I know they got it

Thanks everyone! I do appreciate it..and I am going in there tomorrow morning and telling them it HAS to be done by Mon. and faxed or I will p/up and take the paper myself..yes..one paper..one simple thing..and they've had it now since last Tues. the 5th. I am not an ignorant person but I feel like I'm being treated poorly and I won't stand for that. btw how do I get a ticker?? I've tried but it didn't work..

I had the exact same problem with my PCP. The solution was to go into see them last Tuesday and again today. They finally sent the paperwork to my surgeon today. The solution is to stay on their butts like a dirty diaper until they get sick of seeing you. Good luck.....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
