mzd05 0 Posted March 14, 2012 Well I'm pretty pissed! I am gaining weight 1 month post op! I'm miserable! I really wasn't measuring my food but I feel hunger! I weigh myself everyday (first issue). I can even eat more than everyone else and I feel fine. This is frustrating knowing I am exercising 3 and 4 days a week to gain 3 damn lbs! I'm getting my Protein in and I'm not eating sweets or junk food! I'm only eating healthy foods but my capacity is more! Also, I find it hard to not drink with meals! Thus could be the second issue! Help!!!!! I'm going insane!!!!!
Queen of Crop 1,104 Posted March 14, 2012 Whoa....this does not sound normal for a 4 week post op patient....most people can barely get 500 calories in that stage and there is usually no hunger at all. However it sounds like you are doing the right things, except for drinking with your meals. Teeny sips are OK, but you really should not do that as it moves things through your stomach too quickly. The best advice I can give you is to try not to drink with meals, and as for the weight, it will come off at some point; your body is going through a lot right now. You should be due for your post op check up so be sure to tell your doctor what's going on. Good luck and keep us posted. www.queenofcrop.com A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF A SLEEVER; UPDATED EACH SUNDAY
Becca 108 Posted March 14, 2012 You could have some Water weight issues, so be patient and give your body some more time. Please make sure you are following the rules. Protein first and not drinking while eating are two rules you have to learn to live with. The sleeve is a tool. You do have to do your part to be successful. I logged everything I ate the first year. I wasn't perfect all the time, but I did get to a normal weight. You can do this!!! We are here for you!
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted March 14, 2012 Don't forget that as you exercise you are building muscle, which will give you a little weight gain. Drink lots of Water and don't drink when you eat. Stop focusing on the scale and just enjoy your day. It will come off whether you stress about it or not.
Itsanewdaycassandra 45 Posted March 14, 2012 I recently read something that someone wrote on another VGS site that I’d like to share, she said “ This tool (VGS) is like hiking down a hill, and some people will take a more scenic route and some will run down to the bottom quickly, but in the end we will all reach the bottom of the hill” so try not to panic and go back to the basics when you feel you need to. 1 Shells reacted to this
