LadyIvy 159 Posted March 12, 2012 My surgery is now moved to April 9th and I have a family camping trip on May 27th. It is a 5 day trip and we have lots of comfy camping gear, but I'm wondering if any of you other sleevers like to camp? If so, I will just be passing the soft foods stage and starting the intro to solids phase just as the trip starts. Any thoughts on how to make it easier on myself and my family? I have no choice but to take this trip, it is not just family bonding time, but time to find an apartment for graduate school. Since Grad school is at the beach, this is the cheapest way to stay in the area.
Jellybean 1 Posted March 12, 2012 My surgery is scheduled for April 10. I also have a camping trip scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. Since that's a little more than six weeks after surgery, by my doctor's instructions, I will be on a "regular" diet. I plan to take Protein drinks with me and just eat a little of whatever everyone else is eating that I can tolerate. By then, I should have an idea of what foods are "safe" for me. I plan to take a care package with some of those foods as well so I will always have something I can eat. Other than that, my only plans are to relax and enjoy the time away with my family. 1 LadyIvy reacted to this
Caradina 65 Posted March 13, 2012 I rough camp, monthly, starting in April and going until October! My first year, sleeved, "in the woods" will be interesting.... I plan to just bring what I know I can eat, that way I always have things, and if I can partake in group meals, I will. 1 LadyIvy reacted to this
