wishes 125 Posted March 10, 2012 I was searching through my closet for over an hour before realizing I have nothing to wear! I know this might not seem like a big deal, but I literally fell to the floor crying. I don't dress up often, literally I spend almost every waking second in jeans and t-shirt or my pajamas. It doesn't really matter what I wear when I am in class, doing research or at home studying. But the one day... one day! I want to dress up I don't have ANYTHING in my closet that is appropriate for the club. Not even my bras.... I can't believe I am complaining about everything being too big. *sighs* I am sorry for ranting, but I really just needed to vent. Weight loss is awesome, but damnit I want some clothes that fit! 2 Jswilbur and plzsleeveme reacted to this
Missy V 477 7 Posted March 10, 2012 Wishes: I can't wait to feel like this! I know you don't want to hear how LUCKY you are but I started crying last week because I had AGAIN out grown the items in my closet. Find a new favourite place to shop, mine is the consignment stores to stay "green" and to keep my green!
Liliana Arleen 173 Posted March 10, 2012 I have the same problem so you are not alone . Nothing fits me right , is either too big or fits weird but I refuse to buy clothes for me until I get to my goal weight lol
mina 27 Posted March 10, 2012 I had the same problem.. I go to ross and tj maxx and get a couple of things once in a while (I don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes until i stabilize in weight). Also, remove the clothes that don't fit!!! that will help a lot in figuring out what key items you need.

BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted March 10, 2012 Just wait, a year from now you'll be able to grab something you haven't worn for 2 months and know it's still going to fit.....something that at least for me, never happened before WLS - I was always yo-yoing between 3 or 4 sizes. 1 sleeve 4 me reacted to this

Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted March 11, 2012 My jeans are fitting weird again. I wear a size 10. I'm thinking about a thrift shop now. I don't have many cloths but have decided to buy only cloths that I really love now. Lol.
PhoenixFire 10 Posted March 11, 2012 I soooo can't wait till that is me!! But try Ross outlet stores for new trendy clothes that won't cost much and u can sell ur clothes that are too big like on eBay to help fund buying new clothes.
101driver 46 Posted March 11, 2012 waaahahhhaaaa!!! What a great problem! Congratulations, wishes!! I can't wait. A lot of my pants are getting too big, but they're not falling off yet. I went to a thrift store yesterday and scored some pants (size 18, 16, 14 and 12) to put in my closet for the next few months. It was 1/2 off day at the thrift store, so I paid a shopping $2 per pair! I think it's fun to be shrinking out of old clothes. 1 Dooter reacted to this
atkinsoncl 62 Posted March 11, 2012 I can't wait to experience that!! My problem is the opposite. I cannot fit into any clothes from last spring, they are all too tight. With this gorgeous weather we are having, I wanted to wear something "springy." Nope, not going to happen since I can't button anything. Thankfully, I am keeping my range of clothing sizes so I have stuff for when I'm postop.
Shoppingbeemom 31 Posted March 11, 2012 This is why every wls woman needs a black, knit, wrap dress. As you get smaller, you just tie it tighter.
wishes 125 Posted March 11, 2012 Thank you, everyone. I'm so glad to have such supportive people in my life while I'm having a fit. I love shopping consignment/thrift. It was just kind of overwhelming to not have anything nice to wear. I still love my size 12 jeans even though I wear a 10. It works for most days. 1 atkinsoncl reacted to this
thinoneday 445 Posted March 12, 2012 I totally understand this problem! What I did/do was rifle through my 21 year old daughter's closet and find things there which don't fit her anymore either. she has some really cute stuff, young stuff, but stuff that fits and fits very well. . .I get loads of compliments on them as well. . .then there is the thrift store, just something to get you over that "nothing fits" stage until you maintain. . . good luck!
