jthurman 20 Posted March 13, 2012 Where did you stay the night before surgery? Was it extra to stay at the hotel in Tijuana or did you stay in San Diego?
cissiesue 119 Posted March 13, 2012 I was really wanting to go to the hotel lucerna the day prior to my surgery so I could enjoy the pool and do some shopping. I feel like I'm being a pain to Anaid, because I have asked her a million questions, but I feel like I'd like that better than two days after surgery at the hotel. My husbands aunt is most likely going with me, so, I just think that would be the way to go
DDFinn 118 Posted March 13, 2012 We actually stayed at the hospital because we did not get into Tijuana until around 9pm and were to start pre op tests at 6:00am for 10 am surgery.

DDFinn 118 Posted March 13, 2012 We are getting picked up at 9 this morning for our 12:45 flight. The hotel is beautiful, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Compare to an American Marriott. The broth and popsicles in the cafe are yummy. Its in a very nice part of town. It would be hard to walk anywhere without getting runover. They have these bizarre traffic circles and people drive like crazy people!
Afro_Cyster 74 Posted March 13, 2012 LOL @ the circle. Yes, they will run you over and not stop to help so be careful. Ask Trish or Dr. Kelly for a ride whenever you are ready to venture out. I also enjoyed my stay at the Lucerna. I felt comfortable and safe. There are out of uniform guards around the premises. And I can't say enough about my experience with Trish and Dr. Kelly. I am glad that you and your sister faired well. Best wishes.

DDFinn 118 Posted March 14, 2012 Just wanted to update! I got home late last night and was so happy to be in my own bed. I had no trouble sleeping on my side with a pillow. I'm feeling good today. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop! I am down #13 from the day I started my pre-op diet. I think the fact that I did not cheat at all prepared me a little. I am able to get liquids down with no problem and have been sipping on tea, Vitamin Water, Unjury chicken broth and even a popscicle today. I really wish for all those who have not had their surgeries yet, that you sail through it like I did. 2 jthurman and NJsharon reacted to this
