ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted March 9, 2012 Jason welcome aboard, its nice to have a man around the house, we don't have that many and always great to have a different perspective. Things should start turning around for you, you are still only 6 days out, and any discomfort will gradually go away. Everyones experience is different. As each day goes by, things should improve. Ask this board any and all questions, we're hear to listen and give advice, but remember your dr.s words are the most important. Good luck - can't wait to hear about whats going on - best wishes kathy WLS 12/15/

jasonswartz 4 Posted March 9, 2012 Thanks all for the warm welcome. I'm managing the liquid diet. Get full very quick tho. Taking multivits and taking short walks. Had coffee withdrawal headache for the last 5 day. Today is a good day. No headache :-)

jasonswartz 4 Posted March 10, 2012 Well day 7 post op did not start off great. 4:30am woke up with stabbing pain in right upper leg. Quick look on Internet and suggests DVT. Called taxi and went to hospital A&E. Leg swelled up a bit and very tender to touch. D-dimer blood test confirmed very high levels. Given a 5 day corse of Anticoagulation medicine to inject tummy and next Friday go for scan on legs. The pain now is a hot dull burning sensation. Awful feeling. Did you get a blood clot? Is that why you got anticoagulants?
