Wls 2/13. Scale Isn't Moving:(

Recommended Posts

I know this all will take time but to see weekly progress even if only one pound would be encouraging and satisfy my question of was this even worth it?

The first week home, hell week as it was, was an 8lb loss, then from there the bext two weeks were only 3 more.

It'll be a month this coming Tuesday the 13th and I've gained three pounds this last week and lost one. Yes gained:(

Yes I am following all the diet and exercise and Water advice my NUT is giving me. I'm getting in all my Proteins and not eating crappy stuff.

I'm not cleared to exercise with weights so it isn't a matter of weight being more due to muscle mass.

I do feel hungry all the time but since I use the app tracker called my fitness pal on my iPhone I am very clear of every Protein, fat, carb, and so on thy I'm consuming and my NUT says I'm doing perfectly!

So why aren't I losing?

Seems so odd that someone can be eating as few calories as I am, drinking an ocean of Water, taking 9 damn Vitamins a day and walking or treadmilling over an hour at minimum 7 days a week.

This weekend ends a month of Sadness and frustrating at the least....

I am going through the same thing, scale hasn't moved in a couple weeks. I try to concentrate more on how much better I am feeling already and that my clothes are for sure fitting looser. Even though you are not lifting weights, you are building up muscle walking on the treadmill and I bet loosing inches. Give your body a chance to adjust to the major change it just went through. I have 1 pair of pants I am using to judge how I am still losing inches even though the scale isn't moving. I had them on last week and they were a little looser on me, but then I put them on this week and they were falling down without a belt even though no change on the scale!

I feel exactly the same way. The only thing that keeps me going is that with as little I eat, my body has got to catch up at some point. My clothes are getting baggier so something is happening. It's hard to not see the scale move after all this work. I think my biggest surprise is that I thought I'd lose more quickly.

2/13 here also. If you're doing it right, it WILL catch up. It has to. It's mathematically impossible for it NOT to. I've stalled out for a few days here, but plateaus happen. Then the drop. It's coming, don't worry. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

Look at it this way: How many posts do you see on here that say "I've done everything right for _____# of months and I haven't lost any weight and I'm still huge. eh? eh? That should encourage you. :)

I didn't lose an ounce in February, but I lost THREE pants sizes. I did drop 3 pounds a couple of days ago, and I'm excited, but I've been literally watching my body change shape in the last couple of months. From round to more of an hourglass. Keep the faith, follow the plan, and enjoy the journey!! :)

Some of the most noticeable "loss" according to my hubby was while I was in a 3 week stall...I didn't loose any weight but I lost inches.

Do your jeans seem loose? Did you know your waist size before? I bet you have lost inches if not lbs.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
