I feel like everything I have eaten is wrong and now I'm stressing that I messed up my sleeve or stretched it or who knows what.

Im 3 weeks out, and I have given up on Protein shakes...I can't find a supplement that doesn't taste like crap...Also, I refuse to eat blenderized meat, so I've been eating soft meats to get my protein in. Today, I had Shrimp Lo Mein, I ate a total of 5 shrimp (chewed well) and 3 forkfuls of soft noodles. On advice from my Dr, I have also been eating Underwood Deviled Ham on wheat crackers. Mango smoothies from Mickey D's have become a lunchtime treat-I can only eat a few spoonfuls, but can I say YUMEE???

my BS life (Before Surgery)

ha ha - love that! I'm beginning to feel that life "before" was a bunch of BS. Denial and fear! Now we're on the other side, authentically watching our health and well being!

Last night...Trader Joe's vegetable sticks dipped in pub cheese. Yum... Why is it that the bad stuff goes down so easily??!!

Seriously, folks. Try unflavored whey powder, sweeten it to your taste.with Splenda or whatever. I just had 60 grams Protein which includes the 1 cup of skim milk. I put it in a big glass and hit it with a wand blender. Easy cleaning, goes down easily, tastes like melted ice cream.

If you drink just a half cup twice a day it is easy to make up the rest with other stuff.

Greek Yogurt is delicious and has a lot of Protein. If you like cottage cheese, it's got a lot of Protein too.

Oh no, nobody will read this because it's not friday anymore!

Actually except for the carbs' date=' your's is the healthiest cheat.

I have this one inch square of 72% dark chocolate everyday. It tastes like sin ;-)[/quote']

True. But I felt SO guilty for the chips! LOL! They were delicious! I also had a frozen margarita over a 2 hour period last night.

I hate Greek yogurt-too thick & gooey-but I love cottage cheese & fruit! I try to have some cottage cheese everyday :)

I also went to Wallyworld today & replaced my broken blender. In the morning, I'm going grocery shopping for fruit to pop in my GNC Lean 25 smoothies. Yay! Maybe I can finally get some protein!

I ate hummus with about 8 corn chips this week! :o

Wow, that's a cheat for you? LOL It's a meal for me. :) I LOVE hummus, and my sleeve tolerates corn chips so much better than any other sort of cracker. I eat this regularly, around the same amount as you, as one of my five mini-meals. Lemon hummus is my favorite. I do sometimes eat the hummus with cucumber instead of chips for dipping, but seriously--I'm a corn-chip girl, love them, eat them regularly, and don't sweat it. I'm not low-carbing, though. I think this is a pretty healthy cheat--good for you!

I'm only 2 months out today and my NUT says no chips until after 3 months. I haven't been very adventurous since I introduced solid food. But I can see this being a regular menu rotation when I'm technically allowed to have them.

It ain't Friday, but I'm on mushies (wk 3) and I refuse to eat pureed meat! That is beyond gross to me! I eat VERY soft meat bits or meat that is already mushy (Deviled ham or Deviled roast beef). And today I had a baked chicken wing drummerte! It was soooo good & melt in your mouth tender! I am still drinking Protein Shakes & I have become a HUGE baked potato fan! My NUT let me add crackers in week 3 & they are my new bread! I can eat 3 whole wheat crackers w/turkey breast & cheese-that's a meal for me! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
