ohhuera 5 Posted March 9, 2012 Hello I'm 8 days out. The first few days were a little rough but, nothing I could not handle. I'm getting in most of my Proteins on most days. I have been up and walking around my neighborhood. Even ventured out with my daughter yesterday for a little shopping. I woke up this morning with horrible lower back pain. I did not have any back pain prior to this so not sure what is going on. No other issues with pain the last couple of days. Not sure what's going on. Anyone have back pain post op? andi0120 41 Posted March 9, 2012 I was sleeved 2/29 and my lower back is pretty sore. I notice if I do a lot during the day or drive a lot in the evenings it seems to kick in. I had f/u with my doctor today and he said its normal. Hope you feel better
ohhuera 5 Posted March 9, 2012 Ok great! That's good to know. I was getting a little worried. Other than the sore back, how are you feeling?
andi0120 41 Posted March 9, 2012 I'm starting to feel somewhat normal again. I'm sick of Protein and can't wait until I can get some of my protein with food. How about you? Getting all your protein in.
Rootman 1,101 Posted March 9, 2012 I too had it and was the result of referred pain from my kidneys due to dehydration. I had kidney stones and had to get pain meds to get by. I was also on flomax for a while but the key was for me to drink a ridiculous amount of Water each day to keep my kidneys flushed, I probably drink about a gallon a day (128 ozs) . I also drink a Vitamin C drink EmergenC 3 days a week.which acidifies the urine to help keep stones clear. Stones are usually diagnosed by an x-ray or CT scan. Hope you get over it soon!
