ByeByeBigGirl 10 Posted March 8, 2012 Do the uncontrollable gurgles after eating ever go away? It's so embarrassing to accidently have a gurgle/burp fall out of your mouth when talking. If they don't go away, does anything help keep them to a minimum?
kimmy*custis 276 Posted March 8, 2012 Lol! I have them too! I dont know of anything that helps, if you hear of anything , let us know. If I hear of anything I will post too! How are you doing since surgery? Loks like you had yours a few days before me. I am doing great, no issues whatsoever.
upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted March 8, 2012 I've noticed that the faster I eat, the more they happen. That and if I don't take my acid blocker everyday or I take it at the wrong time. That may just be me though!
Pixie Jen 7 Posted March 8, 2012 I'm 4 months out and still gurgle. It happens with certain foods or if I eat too fast. I was embarrassed by it at first, but now I just make jokes about it when it happens.
mnbsleeve 87 Posted March 8, 2012 Nine months out here... still happening! BUT, the good news, much, much less! Also, certain foods cause it and others don't. I also have a better sense of "the gurgles" coming on and I slow things down -- taking a loger break before the next bite. Overall I can say, it does get better! :-)
Amanda 3.0 140 Posted March 8, 2012 A couple of days ago I had the gurgles all day and night! Ugh. That was the day I was very noshy and gave in to snacking. I didn't do too bad, ate about 200 calories of cherries and some corn chips, and a little chicken leg. Since then, and most days, I haven't had this problem to that extent. I wonder what exactly causes it because it is a pain.
