Pookeyism 1,143 Posted March 5, 2012 If you aren't local you just might nit understand what a big event the Houston LS & R is, but it talkes over the Reiliant Stadium, Toyota Center, and adjacent real estate (hundreds or acres) and parking lots all around - rodeo, shopping, shopping, shopping, food, food, food, live big name venues every night, every type of farm demonstration and animal, etc... ..oh yeah, and the carnival. I will be riding the rides today, for the first time in years.... I will NOT be eating the fried anything! or the popcorn! I got me a rock-a-billy shirt and steampunk vest, pair of carheart jeans and my trusted steel-toed boots, and my hat with my horns...cause sometimes the missies are the one's with the biggest, er, horns, LOL. 1 danithediva reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted March 5, 2012 Sounds like a big event that is alot of fun! Except for the fried devil's food! LOL
traceyc 89 Posted March 5, 2012 Have a great time and enjoy the carnival rides! Those funnel cakes and tater twisters are hard to resist, but I know you will do great. I grew up in Houston, but haven't been to the rodeo in many, many years. I would love to see a picture of your steampunk vest!
Julie76 251 Posted March 5, 2012 I love the Houston Livestock and Rodeo! I'm trying to get down there very soon!
Amanda131 214 Posted March 6, 2012 I was there on Tuesday for a date night with Hubs to watch Alabama open the Rodeo. Such fun! Even more fun was rocking my blingy belt with my blingy jeans and feeling completely confident and self-assured. Life is so much more fun these days!
