promicin 2 Posted March 4, 2012 Hey all, I'm 35 years old and just got my VSG earlier this week. On November 15 2011 I met with my surgeon and his staff...the scale that days aid 561lbs...that day I startedmy preop diet of 1200 calories, 96oz of Water, Adipex (appetite) supressant, and working out at the gym. 105 days later it was the day of my operation and I had lost just over 100 lbs. It was probably my lowest weight in a long time, but not sure exactly when. I spent one night in the hospital, which was fine since I was hopped up on drugs! My first day home I was in a decent amount of pain, but that has mostly stopped now. My only complaint now is lack of energy. After taking a shower this morning, I was exhausted and had to sit for 20 minutes and rest in bed. I'm excited and nervous to continue down this path, and just wanted to share where I was in all of this. 1 racheal218 reacted to this
ShoeLover 141 Posted March 4, 2012 Oh wow, congratulations on your pre-surgery loss and on your surgery. Fatigue after the surgery is common - I was going full speed right after my surgery and then a few days later I hit a brick wall, and even putting on my socks and shoes made me want to take a nap. Just make sure you get in your liquids.< /p>
mynewbegining2 31 Posted March 4, 2012 Kudo's for your 100lb pre surgery weight loss. I understand what you mean about getting tried after something as little as taking a shower. Take it slow and rest when needed. Congrats on your surgery and new begining.
