Ceparano 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Sounds good to me!!! Come on guys.....what do you want to do?????? September is around the corner and so are the holidays. I forgot to mention on my first reply; I've had 2 fills totaling 2ccs. I have good restriction, and like Yoda I remain a PB virgin. I have had one case of the "slimes" not a very nice experience either. Strange enough, as long as I wait until after 11 am I can eat anything. Rice, steak, salad, seafood, bread, you name it. Very strange. Roberta
Yoda 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Hi fellow April Bandits.... I thought I would share my progress with ya. I had a fill on Fri (under fluroscope this time). Everything (port wise etc) is fine. I got 2 more ccs; for a total of 7 in my Midband. I definitely have restriction now; I will keep my fingers crossed that it is the sweet spot! Even though I had my surgery 21 Apr, I count my "stats" from 7 Apr (which is when I started my pre-op diet). So, in 20 weeks: Pounds Lost: 44 Inches Lost: 26.75(this is a total of measuring chest, waist, hips, right thigh, right calf, right bicep) BMI: went from 45.5 to 38 I am now "only" obese and not "extremely obese!!! A nice side effect.....Mr Yoda (who is not banded) has lost 25 lbs and 16 inches over the last 20 weeks!!!! Overall, I am please....it averages to 2.2 lbs a week and I can't complain about that. I do work out like a demon (90 mins 4-5 times a week) so I'm surprised I don't lose more...but that has always been the case with me, despite my workouts (I believe it is related to the PCOS). Everyone keep up the GREAT WORK!!! Soon we'll be in an April Bandits September thread! <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
*susan* 1,709 Posted August 28, 2006 Hey Yoda, you are doing fantastic! I would love to do a September challenge. For me, something to do with exercise would be great, as I have not been doing any and really need something to motivate me to start doing so.
JulieNYC 4 Posted August 28, 2006 Just a thought on the September challenge. How about a flat number like "I'll make it to the gym for 30 minutes or more (or if you don't use a gym, on my walk, swim, whatever) -- no matter what I actually do there -- 15 (or 20) times during the month of September." That way we can tell ourselves we're not going to do much, but it'll get us through the door. If I do that, I usually wind up with a decent workout despite my lack of enthusiasm. I'd be up for something more stringent, but I thought this way we'd catch as many people as possible in the net. Any thoughts?
Ceparano 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Julie, that sounds like a great idea. I definitely need to get in some kind of exercise on a regular basis. I like to walk around my local track, but if the weather doesn't permit or my girlfriend can't make it I don't go.This challenge will make me do something regularly. We all know getting started is the hardest part. So....let's get started April bandits!!! Roberta
Yoda 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Hey April Bandits.....another month is almost over!!!! After tomorrow we will be in September and we can have an April Bandit's September chat thread!!! Lets hope Sep will be stellar for everyone!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
*susan* 1,709 Posted August 30, 2006 Yoda is right, we are almost done with August. I am excited about us doing a challenge. Are we going to go with the exercise one?
Eficka 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Hi all April Bandits:-) I would definitely go for the excercise challenge, cause lately Im so lazy and that would definitely help!!!
Ceparano 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Ok.....let's here it. How many are willing to get this challenge going???Starting Sept. we are going to the gym or do some sort of exercise for at least 30 minutes each time, and we'll go at least 15 times for the month. We don't want to make the challenge so hard that those who don't already exercise feel overwhelmed. If you can do more time or days than that is great. If not at least your dedicated to getting in some exercise 15 x for the month. So...what do you think? Roberta
*susan* 1,709 Posted August 30, 2006 I'm in... So, 30 minutes of exercise at least 15 days out of the month? Correct? Woo Hoo, I am going to get off my lazy hiney and get some exercise in September! :biggrin1:
bluehill 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Me too!!! Me too!!! The lazy days of summer are officially over. Beginning after Labor Day weekend, that is.
Ceparano 0 Posted August 30, 2006 I started a new thread for our Sept. challenge. Please go to the new thread to make any changes or additions to that challenge. September starts on Friday, so please do this before Friday. The new thread is titled: April 2006 September Challenge Roberta
bluehill 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Oh no! There's not ONE, not TWO, but THREE THREADS for the September challenge! Can you delete two of them, Ceparano?
Ceparano 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Unbelievable isn't it !!! I think they are still having some trouble technically with this site from last weekend. One is gone, and the other says deleted. So even though it looks like two are there it's actually just one.
