Adenoma Liver

Recommended Posts

Well today I was banded and the doctor found 2 cm Adenoma tumor on my liver which he believes it benign. He says he sees this alot with ladies who have taken birth control. So now I have to go to my primary to request either an ultraound or MRI. Anyone enountered this problem?

Congratulations on being banded. It was the best thing I ever did. Can't help you on the tumor question, but hope you see the Dr. on it very soon.

Best wishes.

Hi R Littman, A spot was found on my liver when doing the pre-opt tests and my doctor said that he was 99% sure it was benign. After several more tests his diagnosis was correct. He said that it isn't uncommon. If the doctor thinks it's nothing to worry about just have the tests and don't worry. I think you'll be okay. I think a color CAT scan was the next test and it is painless. They did a black and white but it won't show the proper results, so they redid it in color. Nothing to worry about except a hassle to have to waste time going through the tests.

Does anyone know what sliming is or slime balls? What causes them?

I've heard them mentioned on this forum site.

Thank you Happy2. I have a friend who is an internist and said it benign from what she saw on the picture but that I should have an ultrasound or MRI just to be sure. It supposedly was caused by birth controls pills which I would hate to go off of because they control my acne. Robin

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
