Lissa 2,631 Posted March 2, 2012 I'm glad you're home and sleeved! Welcome to the loser's bench! It will take a while for you to be able to drink larger quantities of liquid. The mantra for now is "sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk". When you're tired of that, try sip, walk, sip, walk. Congrats and just take things slow and easy. You will feel much better very quickly! 2 Liliana Arleen and rahnava reacted to this

upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted March 2, 2012 I had similar problems with gas and acid in the beginning. Nothing wanted to stay down, at least not comfortably! I had to sleep sitting up for almost 2 weeks because the reflux was so painful. In the hospital they gave me a bottle of baby gas medicine Simethicone. That helped a lot. You don't have to do the baby drops, they have chewable stuff like Gas X, but the drops went down better at first. Also after taking my Protonics regularly for several days I felt much better. Does your doctor have you on any acid blockers?

upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted March 2, 2012 Oh good, well hopefully you'll be feeling much better soon! It does get easier to get more down after the 1st couple of weeks once the swelling starts to go down.
