Nana~ 4 Posted August 3, 2006 Strange way foods react to your body. Post something you can eat and then if there is something made nearly the same or with the same ingredients you can not eat. EXAMPLE I personally can eat and Love Salads with croûtons and all the works~ But I can not eat bread at all nor can I eat Cole slaw... Why can I not eat Cole slaw? its chopped and covered in a sauce? Absolutely will not stay down, this is strange to me! okay anyone else?
SherryW 4 Posted August 3, 2006 I can't eat pork without a problem. Usually comes back up. Yet, I can eat pork sausage. I can't eat kielbasa but, a hot dog stays down fine. I can't eat fresh fish my hubby caught from the sea but, I can eat a filet of fish (no bun) from McDonalds? what the heck!
Nana~ 4 Posted August 3, 2006 See isn't that strange?! I can eat dry Cereal just fine, add milk and I cant keep it down! I can eat pickles, boiled potatoes, mayo all separately but if put together as potato salad I get sick! CRAZY! Give me more I think its strange how the body reacts like this! Poodles 0 Posted August 3, 2006 I can eat sweet and sour chicken (w/o sauce) but can not eat chicken nuggets. (My first PB was on chicken nuggets.)
Road Queen 0 Posted August 3, 2006 I can eat a plain hamburger but put a sauce or gravy on it and I get sick. For about two weeks, I pbd on coffee - now that seems to have passed. Some days I can eat rice, some I can't I can usually eat bread but I don't cuz I think its gross. But I do like homemade croutons.
SherryW 4 Posted August 3, 2006 I can't eat soft ice cream (I think too much air in it) but, hard ice cream goes down smoothly. (Now that's one thing I wish didn't go down lol) I can eat an omelet with cheese in it but, I can't eat scrambled eggs with cheese. I just don't get it and I've tried a few times because I thought I was nuts lol. All I can think of is the scrambled is more exposed to the air versus a closed omelet? Eh! Why is it that Cookies go down no problem but, a crisp piece of toast with margarine won't stay down? They're both on the drier side. Fortunately I don't keep Cookies in the house! Marimaru 7 Posted August 3, 2006 Nana, the difference between salad in coleslaw is that the coleslaw uses cabbage, which might be what's causing you trouble? I can eat hard boiled egg whites, but I can't eat egg salad, if I leave the yolks in. Scrambled eggs are iffy.
