upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted March 1, 2012 Had my 1 month follow up visit with the doc today and his scale says I weigh 200. My last weigh in on my scale a week ago said 198. I'm a little disappointed, upset even. But on a lighter note, he gave me the green light to start working out so after I left his office I went and joined a gym. That's worth something even if I have only lost 2 pounds in 3 weeks right?
Indymom 132 Posted March 1, 2012 My doc's scale always weighs heavier than mine at home. I do my weekly tracking based upon my scale so I don't really worry about what his says. My appointments are usually in the afternoon while my weigh-ins are in the morning (naked, after I've had a BM if possible!!) and of course I'm clothed at his weigh-in. Don't sweat it, your loss is great!
upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted March 1, 2012 Thanks Indymom. I checked my scale when I got home and they are about the same. Oh well! I know almost everyone has a stall at 3 weeks and I'm sure starting back on solid foods my body is still wondering what the heck is going on because I keep changing what I'm eating. missmeow 156 Posted March 1, 2012 2 poubds is Water retention, Constipation, the time of day you weighed. You've lost 35lbs. Don't let it bug you, think about the bigger picture 1 upwardfocusedgirl reacted to this
upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted March 1, 2012 Thanks missmeow I definitley agree! I usually weigh myself in the morning but the dr. appt. was in the afternoon after eating and drinking Water all day. And I know I am not getting enough Fiber in but it isn't for lack of trying! Some of the fiber supplements are awful!
Catracks 865 Posted March 1, 2012 I weigh myself at home absolutely nekkid so the doctor's scale is going to weigh heavier. I just subtract for clothes.
upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted March 2, 2012 Lol, yeah me too. I figured the doctors scale would be a couple pounds more but since I haven't been weighing myself I was hoping I'd lost some weight. I'm not sure, maybe this matters...? I looked back at my food entries in MyFitnessPal and I realized I selected the wrong Protein Shake for almost a week so instead of counting 30g it was only counting 10g. So, I ended up going over the daily Protein requirement for several days. My doctor says to meet 60g but I've been trying to do up to 80g to hopefully avoid Hair loss.< /p>
