RMS 64 Posted February 26, 2012 Hi, I was wondering how long I will be out of work.
BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted February 26, 2012 Depends on what kind of work you do.
iegal 460 Posted February 27, 2012 Good response. Also depends upon how surgeon does VSG. I was an outpatient for VSG with no tubes, drains, overnight stay. So, I was working on my computer within a few days and back traveling within a week. Too early really. Ask your surgeon how long most patients of his/hers take off after VSG. Congrats on an upcoming surgery. 1 jsunshine reacted to this

Tif 2.0 141 Posted February 27, 2012 I have a desk job, so I took just a week off. I wish I would've taken 2, only because of the fatigue. The pain had lessened considerably during the first week, but I was so dang tired by the end of the day that I was going to bed at the same time as my 5 year old. Rootman 1,101 Posted February 27, 2012 3 days and NO it was not enough even for my desk job. I'd advise a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks if you can swing it.
RMS 64 Posted March 4, 2012 Thanks for the answers. My surgeon said 2-3 weeks but if I didn't like my job 4 weeks. LOL

I have my sleeve done on 02/28 and I am going back to work tommrrow 03/08 so I had a little over a week off. I wish I would have taken a full two off because I am feeling some fatigue but no pain. 1 jsunshine reacted to this
