jailynn 49 Posted February 26, 2012 I'm about 6.5 months post-op; is anyone else out there an emotional wreck? I'm tearing up over stupid commercials and constantly irritated with my husband....I've read that estrogen plays a role when losing weight rapidly....but will it stop soon 'cuz this sucks!! pcos_chick 23 Posted February 26, 2012 Its very common... I found that the best thing to do was to exercise. Just like with cramps or other hormone related moods exercise seems to even things out.
Cheles 75 Posted February 26, 2012 Agreed...exercise. I try to go daily. But it's the only thing to keep my head and heart in place.
AdvocateMom 4 Posted February 26, 2012 I'm so sorry that you're feeling this way, but I'm so glad that you posted. I was hoping that it wasn't just me! I'm hoping that exercising will help and that I'll quit being so upset and...let's just say "difficult" 1 jailynn reacted to this

Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted February 26, 2012 awwww, that your feeling emotional. Exercise does help alot though and it will pass.
Felicia 28 Posted February 26, 2012 I feel that way too. Sometimes exercise really helps but at times I feel so crummy that I don't even want to exercise. It will pass just like any other weight loss caused problems. My boyfriend tends to forget that I am supposed to be a walking PMS crazy person, so we have been fighting more often. I'm not worried though I am just sticking to my guns and pushing thru. You will be fine too just keep up the good work and try to stay positive.

Liberated Sleeve 148 Posted February 26, 2012 Now I wonder if since I am 50 and my menstrual cycle is almost obsolete, maybe happens every 4 months or so, if I will experience the same thing and if so to what degrees? OMG now I am scared it will start the cycles back!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!
nicmack31 18 Posted February 26, 2012 I have an IUD and NEVER had a period before surgery. I woke up the morning after surgery in the hospital with my period. It is very likely that you will have cycles and they can be irregular for a while. If you have depressed feelings for more than a few weeks, you should talk to your doc. Mine warned me that depression a few months later is common and if last longer than a few weeks, treatment might be necessary for awhile. 1 Liberated Sleeve reacted to this
