Ahh! I Lost A Size! Yeahhh!

Recommended Posts

Wow!!! It just didn't seem to want to come. I've been wearing my size 18 jeans since surgery and today was 'jeans' day-friday at work. I put them on and I knew they were baggy, but I looked in the mirror this morning and they were ridiculous looking in the front. So I mustered all my courage and tried my 16's on and VOILA!!!! They fit...holy cow!!!! They are a little tight...but the way all jeans are when they come out of the wash....they will relax and fit fine. OMG!!!!! I can't believe it!!! I've had little moments of triumph but THIS just makes me sooooo happy. :) HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

wtg, great feeling, after years of losing and gaining, sometimes the # of lbs does not matter, as long as those inches come off.

can not wait till i post that i am a 16 again, :) keep up the good work

Congrats. Took forever to get back into the 16s, so I hear ya.

Now it's taking me forever to get under 200... been working on it for three weeks now. Determined not to update my ticker 'til I get there. I WILL get there! I've lost 70 lbs to date and have been able to unload all of the boxes of clothes in different sizes that I saved for years. That in itself is a victory. To all of us struggling, HANG IN THERE.

Woot woot! It is a great feeling! I rummaged through my closet yesterday for size 20 jeans and the whole way up the leg I was chanting, "Please fit, please fit!" -- and they did! At first I thought they were too tight (you know, the right out of the dryer feeling). But less than an hour later I found them very loose and I tugged on them all day like I needed a belt to hold them up! Not quite ready for an 18, but getting closer every day!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
