upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted February 23, 2012 I'm 3.5 weeks out and pretty much had gotten used to the odd feelings associated with eating. However, I just ate some tilapia and mashed potatoes and not one twinge, gurgle or anything! I assumed I'd have the discomfort for a while when I eat and drink. It feels good to feel normal! 3 ShouldBlittler, Michelle Wolfe and circa reacted to this

Cheles 75 Posted February 23, 2012 I'm 10-weeks out and still get the bubbly feeling. Sometimes it goes on all day....it's begining to drive me nuts!
upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted February 23, 2012 I'm wondering if the Protonics I'm taking had anything to do with it. I forgot to take my pill in the morning so I took it before lunch. My stomach was kind of upset in the afternoon but by dinner it was fine, perfect actually. Are you taking anything for acid Cheles?
x4achange 3 Posted February 24, 2012 I'm 5 months out and the loud stomach noises still exist when having a meal. It's just a normal digestion sound to me now. when i'm really hungry and with other people i will take a small sip of Water a few minutes before I eat so the noise is not so loud. mnbsleeve 87 Posted February 24, 2012 I've had gurgling up until recently, when it's finally tapered off a bit. I still get it on occasion, incluing the lovely sounds that accompay it! :-) I'm also finally off the prilosec so I'm not sure if that's contributed to less gurgling. But I do recall the first few months I would even comment: "let the gurgling begin!"
upwardfocusedgirl 33 Posted February 24, 2012 For me I think it is the acid controlling meds that are helping. I have been taking my pill at different times and with different food or drink for the past couple of days and I can tell the difference in the way my stomach feels and sounds. Maybe I need to take it twice a day and I can avoid the discomfort and sounds all together. I think I'll call the doctor and get his opinion!
