Bcole 6 Posted February 23, 2012 I will be 3 months out in march and I will be going on a cruise. Would it be too soon to try a little margarita or a glass of wine? I know there are no nutritional benefits, but I would like to indulge in one if it will not harm me. Thanks
christin 54 Posted February 23, 2012 My surgeon says no alcohol for a year. I know many people don't stick to those guidelines. I don't know that it would do physical harm, but I won't risk it for quite a while I don't think.
vanb0052 40 Posted February 23, 2012 As much as I hate this answer...my doctors encourage me to avoid alcohol for a year after surgery.
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted February 23, 2012 Kaiser has taught us that alcohol can kill us! So I have no desire to prove them wrong. I don't need to drink. I'm happy right where I am.
circa 333 Posted February 23, 2012 I got a 6 month rule for alcohol. Have a margarita! But without the tequila
kcsmicah 51 Posted February 23, 2012 I had two glasses of wine this past weekend (4wks out). I didnt have any problems. Just treat it as you would any other new food. I don't know if I would try hard liquor though. Non sparkling wine worked good for me. 1 sweety93 reacted to this
