The support groups are the first Monday of the month at 6pm where they give the seminars next door to foundation hospital on huebner. They are kinda boring so I want to get some people who were sleeved in there so we have something relevant to talk about.

I live in oc Ca and I went to a support group with Kaiser and the only people there were mostly RnY. I had to take their Options classes and it was also slanted towards RnY procedures. It is so confusing at times. Wish you luck with your support groups. They can be highly beneficial. ;)

I wish I would have thought to take my measurements before my Sleeve... But I know from the way clothes fall off of me, that I'm losing everywhere!

That is awesome! I was stalled for about three weeks too but when I went to put on a pair of capris, they fell off of me, I cheered back up! So I guess when you are stalled, get out the tape measure! Congrats!

Forens(my iPad won't let me type your full screen name)...anyway congrats!!! Today almost the same thing happened to me, and to try to get my hubby and 16 year old son to understand what it means to go from wearing a size 24 pants to today...buying a pair of 15/16 lady wrangler was huge for me. For the first time in 20 years, I did not even try them on until I got home. Fit perfectly. I simply can't wait to be a size 12 ;) so to be in a 10 like you... whoot hoot!

So here is to all of our NSV for Saturday!!!

Take care all

I don't believe there are limits too our sleeve. I believe it gets harder when we get closer to our goal weight, but the sleeve doesn't know any limits. I will always be Rockin my Sleeve. Never give up hope. It depends on the choices we make in eating. ;)

Good going, Consider though you may not be in a stall, you may be nearing limit of what surgery will do.

Well, Thomas, consider this....If you are going to be negative an unsupportive of my journey, please refrain from posting on any thread of mine. I hardly think that being the same weight for two week signifies the end of my journey and that my sleeve has reached its end. If you had read my post thoroughly, you would see where it talked about losing inches and pants size. Im sorry but I dont come to this board for someone to be a negative nellie and try to dash my dreams, but rather for support and encouragement. If you cant be supportive and encouraging, dont bother commenting. I am only 6.5 months out and according to my surgeon I will continue to lose for another 1.5 years! My tool is not near the end of its life by any means. I could understand your comment better if I was near the 1.5 or 2 year mark, but to say that to someone who is barely 6 months out, I find offensive. Consider how your comments might be perceived by the recipient before you post them next time.

Congrats on your weight loss.. I stalled at 170 for 2 months and then dropped to 168 and have been there for almost a month but I am buy smaller clothes. I am wearing a 12 in bottoms, the first i realized i could do that, I went to express and try on several different pants just to make sure (lol). Now I'm able to wear some 10 eventhough my weight hasn't really changed and for dresses i'm buying size 8 (a little tight but i have hope:)

keep up the good work

Way to go!!! I know you will get to your goal, I've seen how hard you are working for it and it WILL HAPPEN. Size 10 jeans, all I can say is WOW and I can't wait till I'm there. I put on size 12 jeans this past weekend and help up my size 20's, it is so hard to really believe that what used to fit WILL NEVER FIT AGAIN!!!

Keep on working hard, you are an inspiration to me and on days when I am feeling like not going to the gym or maybe just eat a cookie, I think of how far you've come and I tell myself that if you can do it then I can too. So you have helped me to stay on track on days when I would'nt have. So Kudos to you and to everyone else who just keeps working it one more day and then another day.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
