Darcy: Can I just move into your cabin and make it all go away?

Thanks friends for all your kind words. I'm just a big chicken, and with my high blood pressure and all.... I don't like the scene I'm in. My plans for today are this: run my errands, clean house a bit, watch a movie (I joined blockbuster online and they send me movies) and then curl my hair for church tonight (hawaiian bbq dinner + bible study). If my friend calls I need to tell her #1. that I love her and #2. what she did on Sunday(going to the boyfriends house) was not cool. #3. Invite her to Church.

I'll be shaking in my boots but I need to say it. Ugh.

Oh, I forgot to mention: my friend does have 2 children. A 21 year old who just totaled his car while drinking and a sweet 19 year old who just got his first job at Disneyland. Her home is not stable. But neither is our friendship right now. My heart go's out. Thanks girls :nervous

Hey Guys...

Another glorious day in mortgage lending.... TGIF

Patty - you aren't being selfish. You are trying to help. Adultery is damaging to your friend and all the people around her that she involves. I am a firm believer that Cheaters never prosper so I hope she can see her way clear to either end the affair or leave her husband so she can pursue her new romance in an honest fashion. Trying to remove yourself from that bad karma is just a natural response from someone as True and Loving as you are. She is wrong in her actions toward her husband and toward you. You are at least aware of the issue. If she cannot accept that her behavior is hurting you - then drop kicking her into the ocean may be your best option. Hugs and good luck with that whole thing.

Cindy & Sherry - wise advice as always. Hugs!

Darcy - I am hoping to avoid that whole PB concept as much as possible in the future. I consider my experience just a warning to chew more...Oh - and I would have deleted those OOPS posts - but I guess we can't do that anymore... And I thought that the system wouldn't let us post more than once in any 30 second period? Guess that safety is turned off... Just call me Spazz Finger....

Eileenie - hope you can play again soon. Hugs!!

Allison - WE all advise on everything. No sense in holding back around here. We try to make sure that all advise is given with love and taken the same way. You are doing much better on the whole exercise and dedication thing than I am so far... Keep up the great work!

Cindy - are you getting all fired up, again? Putting those folks on Ignore is probably the best thing to do. Feeding the flames is a waste of time. And while I haven't read the post and know nothing - I will say that the IDEALS or Communism and Socialism are actually sort of ok, But just like Democracy, in PRACTISE, these systems do not live up to their Ideals. I feel that in Practise, democracy works best of all the systems - but then, I have been conditioned to think that by 41 yrs of living in the USA. I just try to keep an open mind. Hugs!!

Well my Dears... I must go. lunch is over and I have to get back to the rest of my day.

This weekend is going to be all about preparing for compancy. I have to clean up my office so people can go in there without falling over stuff.... crack the whip over my DH so he gets his kitchen in line and I expect we will have to shop for food and stuff.

Hope y'all have a great weekend.

Love you guys!

Irene

Patty... I'll give you the address... and I'll even tell you where the key is to the REAL cabin that is next door to our shack. :) THey have running water... a jaccuzi tub and a real live flushing toilette! In regards to you friend... what goes around comes around... I would seriously be tempted to send a letter to her hubby in this day and age of AIDS. Her risky and selfish behavior could be putting his health at risk as well. Still... I know it is tough... sorry she is putting you in such a terrible position. She is going to have some Jersey girls on her tail pretty soon!

CIndy... I'm going to have to do a little research on the December 25th soap box... I'm afraid I stick close to Jersey central here. :scared: Shoot... my nickname is always Brat... but someday I am going to grow up and be a fireball just like you!

Beanie... PBing sucks... especially on asparagus... OMIGOSH... I though I was going to die when that fibrous stuff got stuck! Not to mention the green slime that eventually came back up... EWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

Eileenie... THat darned boss!!!! I'll be gone to the shack in the morning so I'll have to catch your post when I get back!

Allison... We need to see a picture of Nate ASAP. Baby lover on board here. :)

Okay... have to get things packed up to go to the shack... Patty... I' see ya there. :)

Have a good weekend all!

Hey everyone...Welcome Allison! :)

Cindy - I totally knew what you were doing in the Christmas thread and agree with you. This guy just isn't worth it. If we all ignore him he'll go away and if he sees this posting so be it. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but, honestly he should do his own thread and leave others alone. We have just as much of a right to believe in Christ, Christmas and how it all came about as he does in his other ways. Just not worth it and so I also chose to ignore him :) Awesome job skipping right over him IMHO :scared:

Darcy - Have a great time at the shack. I hope you have awesome weather and you're able to enjoy the nature around ya :) Sounds like fun to me. I've been craving going camping myself

Allison - Feel free to chime in anytime. Like Bene said we all help each other in here and we all honor the others opinions and feelings. You are very much welcome here and I hope you enjoy it so far.

Bene - Girl....I hear ya on the workload stuff. Man...not sure I'd know where to put the stuff in my cubicle if I had to clean it. My piles have piles and each project is late. UGH. So stressful sometimes. I do hope you enjoy your weekend.

Betty - Man....I wish I could come do some Reiki on your foot to see if it would help ya. What a situation that is huh? They don't want ya on the foot yet you need to walk...hello lol I do hope it feels better soon.

Eileen - I miss your posts when you can't play :) Love ya

well my friend is here so I have to go. I'll catch up with everyone else later. Hope you're all doing well and shrinking!!!!

Okay, asparagus slime is the grossest thing I've thought about today. Thanks, Darcy! Hope you have a great time at the shack! No asparagus for you, girl.

Sherry, glad I was transparent on that Christmas thread...surely he will go away. What a bully. Sometimes I have to stand up to bullies, but not on the Christmas thread. See, I've got that Jersey girl spirit!

Allison, whatcha doin'?

Patty, I'm thinking about you!

Betty, hope you are resting your foot, and having a little rest this weekend!

Eileen, what's shaking for you this weekend, and don't tell me it's your arms! LOL! Is it cool yet? I think it was 109 today....OMG!

Well, I'm gonna go read some stuff, and I'll check back later...

OH yeah, Darcy? You're not a brat...(((hug)))

Psstttt... I didn't go to the shack after all... we are going to go in the morning instead. I just couldn't face sleeping on a futon...lol. Bad sleep week already... figured that might put me over the edge.

Cindy... I did take a gander at the post by the fella mentioned... some people have bed head... I think he has a bad case of butt head. ;) Oh... and I haven't eaten asparagus since... and never ever will again! Now... if only I could have a PB that bad on ice cream!

Sherry... It's supposed to be beautiful tomorrow so hopefully we'll make a really nice day of it. We are trying to get the back room sealed up so that we can put a REAL bed up there for our rather generous hinders!

Okay... off to try and make at least one night of quality sleep for the week!

I wonder what time they finally fixed this site? I tried to get on most of today, and couldn't. Did that happen to ya'll?

We did a "makeover" on my Dad's bathroom today as an early birthday present for him (my sister and I, and DD helped, of course!). It was fun! My mom had decorated it in pastels and seashells, but considering he lives alone now, we thought he might like a more manly look, so we shopped at Cabela's, and got him a hunting them...you know, ducks, labs, pheasants, etc...he likes to hunt. We found pictures of him and his father hunting and hung them in there, moved some of his duck decoys in, etc. It looked pretty good, if I do say so myself! LOL! He REALLY liked it!

So, now it's off to bed...I'll catch ya'll tomorrow...sure missed you today!

Happy Sunday All...

Hey... I was reading a book this morning (Bones Would Rain from the Sky) and there was a quote that really caught me. I often see posts of how close members feel to others they have never met but have comminicated with frequently per a forum such at this. When I read this quote... I immediately thought of all of you...

"Love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction." ... Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Great quote, Darcy!

When I come to this thread, it is like coming to a soft place, a safe place. Thank God and blessings on all of you!

It's a sunny Sunday, and probably anothI'er scorcher down here! They are saying we're going to cool off this week...I think it will get all the way down to 99 tomorrow! Yea!

I'm doing laundry, and planning out the week...we have a family picinic thing at DD's school on Tuesday, voice lessons on Thurs., a rehearsal on Friday, a make-up lesson on Sat., and the big fall Sunday school kick-off thing on Sunday. Can we say, "Here we go!" The fall whirlwind begins...

I'm watching the news while I'm writing and when I see that Karr guy, all I think is, well, that's what happens when you live your life in the Dark. Seriously, does the depravity ever end in this guy's life? Whether or not he had anything to do with JonBenet...(shivers down spine).

Back to happy land....

The dryer stopped, so better go get those jeans out and hung up before they are all wrinkled!

Love you all!

Cindy

I LOVE IT Darcy! Thank you so much for sharing! It so does apply to this thread group. I feel more connected with you folks than some of my friends I've known for years. Must be that same goal...same inner feelings about what we're going through that point us all in that same connected direction. I'm thankful for you all!

Hello Y'all!

Sorry I have been aol so much! My son came in and I have been trying to spend as much time with him as I could. Yesterday he got shipped to a different part of Texas to train some people and now I don't know when he will be back. I miss him already!

My foot does feel a little better today, although I did stay off it a lot yesterday. I am trying to exercise in the pool, but sitting so much is making the butt and legs get bigger, my pants that was so loose are now tight.:)

I am reading all your posts even if I don't get a chance to address you all.

Dh is waiting for me to give him a hand, he has been in here twice already!

Don't he know how important visiting with my buddies is????

Well, I am going to go see if I can help him. I'll try to get back here later!

Hi all!

50---can we all say 50!!?? Yeehaw, 50 pounds gone!!! I love it! Been working on the last couple of pounds to make the 50, I would lose a pound and gain a pound!!! You guys all know how it is!! Now the next 50!

Yeah Cindy, I had problems yesterday too, not sure when they got it fixed. I was gone until pretty late, and was afraid to check it when I got in, that I would log in, and never get to bed. As it was I would have been better off, I had a rough night, took some Tylenol for my leg hurting, and it turned in my tummy all night, first experience with reflux, eeewww not any fun. But my eating was terrible, lots of fried food last night, then the medicine, and my stomach rebelled!!

We have had our local County Fair going this last week. It is a pretty big fair for our rural area, they said about 100,000 will have attended by the end of last night. We went for awhile Friday night, looked at exhibits, then went to a ZZ Top Tribute band, "Sharp Dressed Men" concert, it was great! Then we went again last night, finished looking at the exhibits, and went to a Led Zepagain (a Led Zeppelin tribute band)concert. We went with another couple and between us, our kids all came and went. It was such a good time! We were at the ZZ Top tribute, and this drunk guy comes up and sits by me, and is trying to get me to go up and dance with him! Now he is drunk, seriously, but he was not obnoxious, he was talking away to us, and he says, "Man this band is good, they really remind me of ZZ Top" I had to laugh I ask him "Ya think?" he took it seriously, he says "yeah man, they are good!"!! Now as a tribute band, they did the dress, the beards, the moves, everything, not just the music. It was so funny. He introduced himself to us, his name was Michael, and off he went to dance alone!! Now, as drunk as he was, and with all the people dancing, he was good!!! He was not especially clean!! He did not smell good, unless sweaty & whiskey appeal!! But drunk as he was, he had rhythm, and some good moves!! My friend Becky and I were shocked to say the least!! And he sang along, and from the looks of it, he knew every song word for word. Anyway, we had a really good time at both concerts, and at the fair. DH did really well, we walked for awhile, then would find a bench and sit for a little bit. He is doing so well. What a relief!

Betty-Hope the foot is better, sorry DS had to leave so quickly!

Cindy-you need to slow down, or you will run into yourself coming as you are going!!! Wanna do a makeover at my house??

Darcy-enjoy the shack-or at least the down time away!

Beannie-Glad to see you back!! Like Cindy, it sounds like you need to slow down!

Allison-sorry it took me so long but...WELCOME!!! My oldest granddaughter is an Allyson! You have found the BEST thread on the site!!

Patty-man I would not want to be in your shoes, confrontation is one thing, but with a friend it seems so much harder! Good Luck!

Eileen-where are you? I miss you!

Sherry-you took the words right off my keyboard in regards to Darcy's quote!! I couldn't have said it better!

It fits so well--Thanks Darcy!

So last week, we were going to have a nice quiet steak cookout for my DIL's birthday. When my MIL heard, she insisted they wanted to help Celebrate with her, so we changed it and included both our folks. I bought more steak. Then MIL calls again and says we need to call his sister, because her husband and daughter have birthdays in August too. (Like I don't know that, the niece and I share the same birthday). Well I didn't want to do a big hoopla thing, but got pushed into it, so I froze the steaks, and went with burgers and brats, got out all the tables, by myself, set everything up, spent a fortune on food etc. Normally DH helps, but he can't lift the tables and all now...so I did it alone. Then, at the last minute my FIL decided it was the perfect time to bale hay, so they didn't come. I was pissed! So now, she wants to have a dinner at their place tonight, because "we really didn't have an August birthday celebration". The heck we didn't! But now I am supposed to fix a potato casserole, and a salad. Now not to be picky, but my birthday was this month, I shouldn't have had to have the first party or do anything for this one, as per how we usually do it...but now I am being petty!! Except next month both my MIL and SIL have birthdays, and guess who gets to do it all alone then??? AARRGGHH Oh well, I am off to make the danged casserole! Enjoy your Sunday all!

Kat

Hello Gang,

I just got out of bed, I was feeling like crud today, so DH took DD out to let me rest, my teeth hurt, my ear is infected (on the other side lol) my bones hurt and I had the hershey squirts before... nice eh. My sister left this morning after being here all weekend...luv them but glad they are gone, it took all I had to entertain them and constantly pick up after them, I'm just beat.

Cindy I know what you mean TOM...... LOL, oh well :) its supposed to be 90+ and sunny here today, thats after saying it was gonna rain all day today WTF? YEAH on dad's makeover lolol bet he was shocked :)

Patty sorry to hear about your friend, I have one just like that except different circumstances.... she is a single mom of a 7 year old (she's 42) and is so hard up for a man she'll do anything to dump her DD on anyone (so it seems to me) and in the same breath tell me she doesn't want a man... oy vey.....worst thing is, she drinks alcohol like fish in front of her DD and I don't want to be around that as well as my DD around that. I came from an alcoholic family so I know what can happen.... I'm trying to run from it with my DD and here it is showing up at my door step again. Kids are easily influenced and if her DD see's its okay to do this then she's gonna do it and I don't want my DD to get sucked into it.... make sense?? i'm still tired lolol. It does sound like your friend is using you (and boy do i know that feeling). You have to do whats right in your heart.

Kat ??? when was your birthday ?? HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU !!! and WHOOOOOOOOOOT on the 50 friggin lbs WTG !!! Your evening at the concerts sounded like fun LOLOL *giggle* at the smelly man.

Betty good to see you... yikes on the pants :D write more when you can and give your DS a big ol hug from me.

Sherry, Beanie, Allison, Darcy (luv that quote too), good to see you lovies. I agree with you all, this is a wonderful place to come, feels like home and I say more things to you all than any of my friends or family.... guess its b/c I feel you all don't judge me (in a weird sort of way lolol).

Where's DOC been??? aka Donna? I really miss her.

I gotta go, can't sit here long, to antzy and tired today.

Love you and will talk more later.....taters :D

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
