loveulots17lov 0 Posted August 1, 2006 i went to the doctor today he said that the doctor in ongisland filled the band up to much so he unfilled it totally. the doctor said he thinks there is scaring around my band and he doesn't know if the heartburns going to go away any one eles have a doctor tell you that you have scaring around the band.. should i be consurned.. a bit upset here .. the best me 6 Posted August 1, 2006 Dont' panic yet, it would seem EVERYone has some bit of scar tissue around the band. That tissues was pulled away to allow the band to go around. I have heard that scar tissue has interfered with replacing a new band after the old has been removed? A complete unfill should get rid of your heartburn problems. Watch what you eat while unfilled. After you have given your body and band a break, maybe you can start back on fills slowly and carefully. Don't be upset! Read up and find out what you can do to help yourself...a change in eating? some reflux/acid reducing medication?
