So I've gained since my onderland pic but, I WILL be back down by next week. I HATE the vending machines at work!!

One of my old co-workers used to wear a shirt that said simply:

"I carry no cash".

*nudge nudge* Those machines don't offer credit :)

Hang in there, and avoid the tuna slap o' doom!

C 265.6 (-39.4 lbs total, +.6 this week) :)

I'm going to buy a bycycle for exercise - if I can find one with brakes on the foot pedals!! I've never done too well with hand brakes.... I want handle bars that I don't have to lean over to hold too.

From last wednesdays weigh in I am down 1 lb. 185 lbs is what the scale reads this morning. My BMI is now 33.8. I have started cheerleading this week. My girls practice 3 days a week and I am doing all the cheers and moves with them. Plus I will be teaching them a competition routine that I have to finish making up. I am sweating like crazy when I work on it, so I know that I am moving well. Last cheer season (august 1- October 15th) I lost 9 lbs with no change to my bad eating habits. This year I hope to lose 15-20 with good eating habits, LOL. So, cheerleading is my creative way to excersize.

Aug. 5 - Treadmill trudge for 30 minutes - w/JOGGING for 1 minute at each 5 minute increment -- go me! Jogging - that's a first for me!!!

Also, remember to share the types of exercise your doing, and try to be creative and spice things up. Has anyone gone horseback riding? Completed a workout on the playground while the kids played? Taken a hike? Snuck a Thigh-Master under the desk at the office? Dusted off the ole bicycle?

Ten bonus points will also be split between and participants each week, who show creativity and ingenuity in their workouts.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
