Down another 3 pounds. Total lost 28 pounds. My scales are the weightwatcher digital scales and right on the money with Dr. Curry's scales. How unusual is that, usually scales I've had in the past were always off in my favor. LOL

Very unusual. In fact.. one would think your mind was playing tricks on you. Scales are all unique folks. Good job on the 3lbs loss. :clap2:

"This Means War!!!!

BiOtch, You've Gone Too Far.

Come One.. Come All And Step Up To This Plate. I Got Something For You To Bite On.

BRING IT!"

Can any moderator please explain why this thread isn't locked while others are? What, exactly, are the rules again? I'm pretty sure threats are somewhere near the top of the, "Don't do this or the thread will be locked" list. So why is this one okay?

GFG Members.. please.. ignore this. I don't want our thread locked.

Take it to PMs to the Mods or to individuals.

We will NOT be drug down in this.

I have brought it to the Mods attention as instructed by Alexandra earlier.

My WW scale is 3 lbs less than the doctor's scale, yet they have me at 4 more pounds down than I count because they go from the date I met the surgeon (4/24/06) and I go by my first day of fasting (6/21/06) so I am down 40.6 here at home and 44 at the doc's office. I am going by my scale and weigh every Wednesday. That's great that your scale matches theirs!

We got a Health O'Meter and it is within 2 pounds of the Dr's scales. In fact, it's 2 pounds heavier and there I'm fully dressed. So I'm guessing its almost dead on. Love that scale.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
