I di get all my Protein and Water in daily.

Is it just me or anyone else sluggish out there..lol?

I had a 2 week check with my doc yesterday (I'm 1/30-just a day ahead of you) and told him I thought the adrenaline/excitement had worn off and I was working in "real time" now. He encouraged me to get all my Protein in to combat the sluggishness (I'm having a hard time with protein). My abdomen is really sore - mostly centralized around the incision where the old tummy came out. Doc says all is very normal and look for that sore spot to feel better after about 4 weeks. I guess that place got two really thick, heavy duty internal stitches and every time I move, I feel internal tugging and soreness. So, you're not alone, I'm right there with you.

that is exactly how I feel, I went back to work on monday only to go home after 4 hours and when I saw my Doc on Tuesday he told me to slow down a bit.

I drink 1 Protein Drink a day Premier chocolate from costco (30 gr. of Protein) and it taste yummy.I also mix Water with a shot of diet V8 Tropical juice and add unflavored whey Protein( 19 gr. per scoop) I drink 2 of those a day and they taste pretty good.

Thanks for being right there with me.....Sleeve Sister..lol

I think it was not until week 3 that I started feeling "normal" All this stage that you are experiencing is normal for your current stage ,I hope you feel better!!

Protein intake is very important, that is for sure, but don't abandon carbs. If you're in puree stage, I had a lot of cooked veggies in Soups that I blended. It helped me get my energy back.

I have that same pain on the left, had surg 2-6 and been doing fine and feeling OK no problems drinking at all...then this dull almost constant achey pain in my upper left abdomen started yesterday. No other changes or pains and no fever... but I was starting to freak out until I read a couple post with ppl having the same thing...whewww thank goodness! I thought something was wring with me :(

My surgeon told me before I left the hospital that I would be unbelievably tired in the second week. So that indicates that its totally normal.

Fortunately for me, I completely missed the second week because I was taking percoset every four hours for a dental abscess. I was so stoned I don't know if I was tired or not!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
