Tana_Q 20 Posted February 15, 2012 My date is the 15th, 4 weeks from now and I cannot wait for it to get here! I hate that I am so darn impatient. I feel like all I think about is the surgery. What helps take your mind off of it? And how can I make time fly? LOL.

longer-life 139 Posted February 15, 2012 I am sorry this is not what you want to hear but I was never able to stop myself from thinking about it and I couldn't make time fly. :arf: So I let myself be obsessed  and I read old and new threads on this website for many hours a day (the positive AND negative posts). I wrote a list of things I wanted to accomplish on my journey, a list of reasons why I was doing the surgery, saved recipes for Protein shakes, broths & other foods, ordered Protein Shakes samples, wrote a list of questions for my nutritionist & surgeon, asked questions, organized my closet by size, dreamed about the clothing I wanted to buy, increased my Water intake, read my surgeons "manual", organized my life so I could have some down time after surgery etc. I hope this helps. :smile1: ( I am STILL obsessed!) 2 sabrina140 and LilMissDiva Irene reacted to this

After months of classes, tests, nut visits, dr. visits, reading and researching and oh holy moly all the praying I did...all the sudden it was surgery day. It is a life changing event I think you need to obses a bit.

Time will fly by is almost the 15 hang in there , I will see ya at the losers bench soon I will do some very small, probably insignificant things to be more active but I can't do a whole lot. My herniated discs have been acting up due to the weight and I am in pain everyday. Standing or walking hurts a lot after just a few minutes. But I can do some sitting stuff. Thanks! 300PoundsDown 101 Posted February 16, 2012 Don't stop thinking about it! lol....Enjoy it!! This is going to be possibly one of the most exciting things to happen to you in your life. It was completely life changing for me. I totally agree with the person who said research as much as you can to prepare yourself and if at all possible start an exercise routine. I would highly recommend the Leslie Sansone walking videos. Even if you did 10 minutes a day it would be helpful. Good luck!! 1 LilMissDiva Irene reacted to this

Lilu 65 Posted February 16, 2012 Think about it like this I have more time to practice some things. Focus on sipping your drinks and chewing your food 30 times before swollening. Also try stopping drinking and eating before, during and after you eat. Also focus on staying health to have the surgery done. Make a plan on how you are going to spend your time when you get out of the hospital. Once you plan these thing be prepared for the plans not to go as you planned it. Think about these things and you will forget the surgery I hope. I will find out my new date some time in April talk about have surgery on the brain
