Put on my calf-high boots today for the first time in FOREVER! I feel like a kid in a candy store - everything fits! On a more health related note, excercising feels a million times easier. I am actually back to enjoying running and sweating again! My attitude towards food has totally changed as well. I still like it, but I am quite indifferent as to my portions and what I can eat, where as before I wouldn't be able to top thinking about putting that last bite into my already full belly! This is how I always wanted to eat, and how was meant to be.

I am so excited for everyone scheduled for and considering this surgery! Best thing I have ever done. :)

I love that too. I really was quite surprised when my dress pants got baggy the same day I was wearing them. ;)

Congratulations on your boots! That's got to be a great feeling to wear some "skinny" clothes again!

Today was my first day back to work (yesterday was exactly 14days post-op), and when I got dressed I couldn't believe how loose everything felt... including my calf-high boots!

AND... I got to hear the first few people exclaim with surprise, "You've lost weight! You look great!" Whoo Hoo! (Sorry to hijack, but wanted to share my boot story with you!).

Ateam, congrats on the the boots, very nice job. They are so in style right now too. I love what you have said about how you feel towards food and exercise. I'm having my surgery March 12th and how you feel and think is what I dream about for my future. I'm not sure if I'm addicted to food, but when I do it I love to eat a lot and really stuff myself. I don't really think about food all the time, but I just love huge amounts. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, best of luck to you, hope you continue towards your goal.

I am so happy for everyone here that has had success! This is how we were meant to be- not always having that visious cycle of hunger, feeling out of control, guilt and shame. I feel very free and not stressed or anxious about my weight or appearance or portions. It is so freeing and so wonderful! Congrats to you too Dorrie and Abacoraveness! Texasgirl- good luck with your surgery! It will be amazing for you :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
