Blender Bottle works for me. Able to shake from my desk at work if necessary. (I'm still on liquids)

Isn't the magic bullet like $40-50? My dad gave me one and I gave it away. That little $19 Hamilton Beach takes up less room and was the best money I've ever spent.

I used ice and frozen fruit so I am a huge believe in the old fashioned Waring Blenders. You can mix, whip or puree anything in these. I have this one. They come in colors and are glass. I loathe plastic :-)

I would probably use my belnder more if it was easier to clean and the carafe was smaller.

If I were in the market for one, that Magic Bullet would be on the top of my list. If you have a Sam's or costco membership, you usually get extra containers or accessories in the box that you won't get at the regular stores.

We use the same $19 Hamilton Beach mini blender several times a day, every day. Love that thing. It out performs our Magic Bullet too.

Another vote for the mini processor/blender. We got one as a wedding gift 14 years ago and it's still going strong! Love that thing. Use it for meat, cheese (for cheese chips), flax seeds, and it works for nuts and chocolate too although I haven't used it for that since surgery.

For the shakes I have a shaker bottle I got from the surgeon. It has the wire ball thing in it. Works great. I also have a single serve Hamilton Beach blender but it makes some of the Protein powders too frothy.

I looked at the ninja last night. I bought an oscar single serve blender. Its a pretty orange and white lol. But I do agree with u that the quality of the ninja is the very BEST on the market right now.

I have the Ninja Master Prep and I love it. Cost be about $30 at Walmart. It has a "traditional" blender container and a small food processor container and you just connect the motor to whichever you want to use. It turns ice cubes into snow and I add about 2-3 oz of juice or crystal light for a hydrating slush (I'm only 6 days out). I also have 3 blender bottles for mixing other drinks.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
