For the past 2 weeks the scale hasn't moved, I have been loosing inches, and that makes me super happy! What I find weird is that I am drinking more Water now but I go less to the bathroom to pee. I keep track of what I drink everyday and I have been working on drinking more, I am up to 80 oz this week, and none of it is coffee. I drink 20oz of Protein shakes and 60 oz of Water. Before my scale stopped moving I had a direct route, I would drink some water and 10 mins later go pee it, yesterday I drank 40 oz before I went to the bathroom. Is this normal? The only time I sweat is during my 30 mins exercise in the morning.

Any thoughts are welcome!

It sounds like your body is holding on to the Water. The B12 is suppose to help with that I think. Usually I get the b-12 shot from my doctor, it really helps more than the tablets. The shot makes me go every 5-10 minutes lol.

My sodium intake is less than 1500, between 1100-1400, I track my Protein, carbs, Fiber, fat and sodium with myfitnesspal.com. I don't actually know how much is too much after this surgery.

When I was in my all-water-all-the-time phase, I would pee about once per Nalgene bottle, or after every liter (32oz). I took this as my body getting used to my Water ingestion and using it how it was meant to be used and my bladder working efficiently. :)

You know... I noticed this also. I've also done a cycle/spinning class and a good workout on the elliptical and weights the past couple days and I used to sweat buckets doing both, however, I just barely broke a sweat. Yep, chalk it up to the body adjusting. We've gone through a huge change in the past several weeks. For me, Tuesday, 2/14, will mark the 4 weeks post-surgery milestone. It's been a long wonderful (at times) transitional month so far.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
