Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App Thanks, haven't tried mustard, but just about everything else. The salty Pickle Juice works right away, and so does the salty lemons. I think what is actually relieving these cramps is just the salt, but it is not allowed. These are not just your everyday Charlie Horse cramps, but Charlie Horse on steroids. I have decided to make a banana milkshake, only bananas and milk. Also, the liquid vitamins and the chewables cause me to throw up so I started taking gummies. Anyone else experience horrible leg cramps? If so what did you do differently? PreciousCargo You are not alone. I also have these kinds of leg cramps. I’m new to this forum but I posted about the cramps at the end of this thread. My surgery date is next Monday and I’m more than a little concerned that I may get these horrible cramps during the actual procedure, or at the very least in Recovery. The only thing that relaxes them is lots of salt, lemon juice, Pickle Juice or all the above. Unfortunately none of those things are allowed post op. Fortunately the cramps are usually of a pretty short duration, but during the time I have them they are crippling.
Dabearo 118 Posted June 18, 2017 Potassium and magnesium are two big offenders of leg cramps. Increase your take of those. Also do an epsiom salt foot bath once a day. You will absorbe the magnesium through your skin.
