rebecca b 19 Posted February 9, 2012 I am just stuck in a general funk. I have made no weight loss progress for 2 weeks. I track everything I am eating with phone app. I range between 700-1200 calories. about 60g of Protein getting about 48 ounces of Fluid. I can eat everything except breads rice. Started back on Protein shakes yesterday to see if that helps. I feel like I eat too much no matter what I eat. I am also struggling with a lot of head hunger. I am committed to get through this, and be successful. I did not go through this to fail. I guess I am somewhat jealous of my co-worker who had gastric bypass 10/26 and hit the 75lb lost mark. Any advice would be appreciated! Sleeved 12/19/
MeMeMEEE 206 Posted February 9, 2012 I would say up your fluids - you need at least 64 oz. Worth a try!
KellyL 173 Posted February 9, 2012 You could try increasing the Protein and fluids. I see a lot of the successful people saying they take in 80-100 grams of protein and 100 oz of water/fluid. It's difficult for me to get in that amt of Fluid, but I shoot for as close as I can get. I can totally understand and relate to getting down and being jealous of those who've had Gastric Bypass seeming to lose faster. But my bro-in-law who had his Gastric Bypass a wk before my Sleeve has already been to the ER, in the hospital, with dehydration, kidney stones due to the fast weight loss, and now he's having to have some other tests done. I am still very happy I chose the Sleeve over the Gastric Bypass. Hang in there, and try not to compare yourself to anyone, this is YOUR journey, make the most of it. 2 Doreykn and LilMissDiva Irene reacted to this
Julie76 251 Posted February 9, 2012 Oh my goodness!!! You are doing so well though! 43lbs in since 12/19. WOW! Even if any of your loss is from before that is amazing! Please don't compare yourself to ANYONE else. You are probably just having that notorious stall that everyone has. I had it. Didn't lose weight but lost a ton of inches. Hang in there and before you know it the scale will be moving again. 1 Doreykn reacted to this
favoredone 590 Posted February 9, 2012 Hey Sleeve Twin... Slow and steady wins the prize!!! Just keep following the rules... I was at my support group and the vets told me to stop stressing and just know that the weight will come off... At least 64-80 oz of Water and 80+ grams of protein... It will come off!! 1 Pookeyism reacted to this
IowaAndy 95 Posted February 9, 2012 I had my surgery on Dec 11 and I had a 2 week stall also. I increased my Protein and Water and also I went back on the liquid Protein shakes for a week. Well today I got on the scale and I have lost another 5 pounds. I was so happy and elated. I think that the stall is common for a lot of people and each of us is different and loses at a different rate. Like was said in one of the other post......slow and steady wins the prize. I also like the losing a little slower as I do not want a lot of flab just hanging when I reach my goal. Think that you skin has a better time adjusting when losing slowly. Hang in there and we will all make it. 1 Doreykn reacted to this
mullet head 18 Posted February 9, 2012 Did not see you say anything about exercis...I know when I am in a funk, a good workout helps...the days when I realllllllllllly don't want to do anything are the best days for it...after words it is so revitalizing!! surgery date: 10/12/12 1 Julie76 reacted to this
Pookeyism 1,143 Posted February 9, 2012 Are you exercising or making permanent increases in your activityies? If not even if you do loose, stats say you will gain it back. But slow losing is OK. I am on the slow side and I am very comfortable with it. Good luck!
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted February 9, 2012 You are doing great! Your body is adjusting now, and if you haven't measured yourself, please do it right away. You will be loosing inches now and it's so awesome. This is normal. Keep Rockin that Sleeve! CONGRATS! 1 Doreykn reacted to this
