diochick 40 Posted April 17, 2012 I got my wonton wrappers in the frozen food section of my regular grocery store. I had to search a while, since they're kinda small and don't stick out much.

Indymom 132 Posted April 22, 2012 I'm thinking I will try some of the wonton recipes but skip the middle layer of wonton, just to avoid a bit of carb and filler . . . I'll report back when I get to that point.

I'll report back when I get to that point. I too only used one wrapper, and did not do the layers...as I found there really was not room to do layers... grannyk 58 Posted May 3, 2012 OK...these area great!!!! I used a tin for extra large muffins, 6 instead of 12 per baking tin. I shared one with my great grandson, my sleeved daughter ate one and my granddaughter ate two. These are just as good as any lasagna I've eaten in a restaurant. The wonton wrappers are thinner than regular noodles and seem to set up better than any of my other attempts. I used four total wontons in each cup. I layered them wonton, ricotta, wonton, meat sauce, a little mozzarella, wonton, ricotta, wonton, sauce, mozzarella. There are 15 carbs in four wontons, so that is not too bad for a meal. All the rest of the ingredients are Protein except for the prepared sauce. I am not heavy into carb counting. I keep it as low as I can, but don't obsess over them. I am a proponent of all things in moderation. Our bodies need some carbs, so this will be one of my allowable carb sources. So good and so easy!! If you like Italian, this is a must-have in the recipe file...Kathe 2 1gorgeousgodzilla and Astaze75 reacted to this
tabbmarsha 13 Posted May 3, 2012 Omg, can i just say thank you so much for this recipe. I just made them and at first i thought the wonton would get hard in the oven but i am happy to say i was wrong. I was only able to get one down but the rest of the family demolished them. Thanks again
