I was on a liquid two weeks before surgery and two weeks after - I lost minimal weight right after surgery then gained three pounds when I started the puree/mashed diet, which lasted four weeks. During those four weeks, after my body adjusted to food again, I lost over 20 pounds. Hang in there, it will happen :-)

I was also sleeved 2/3 so far ive lost 6 lbs from surgery day.. I honestly think its the fluids that our body's are still holding onto. Once they are completely flushed out of our system we will drop a big number. Just keep sipping.

Well I'm a hater of the scale and when i got home from the hospital from surgery, i threw it out. . . I only weighed at the doctors appts and this is how that went, first 2 weeks 25lbs gone, 7th week 53lbs gone, 1 year out 150 lbs gone. . .I never had to witness a stall in the first year and was very very happy with my fabulous results. . I refused to be a slave to the scale. . . now I'm 3 years out now and lovin it. . . good luck!

I can't remember how soon after my surgery I started loosing pounds. I do know that it seemed like I was loosing weight but not inches for ages. I had lost 25-30 pounds before any of my clothes started to look/feel loose. I was beginning to wonder if all the pounds I was loosing was off my feet, fingers and sinus passages, as my rings were loose, my shoes were loose and my allergies/sinus congestion had cleared up! Then all of a sudden, boom! My clothes started getting to big for me, and stuff (like my pants) started to fall off. I am now almost 8 months post op, and the weight loss has slowed down significantly, but I am still loosing about 1-2 pounds a month. I am so happy with my sleeve! I am down right at 100 pounds (it varies by a pound or so daily). I have gone from a size 26/28 top to a 12/14, size 22/24 pants to size 8 and my weight has gone from 258 pounds to 159 (this morning. Last Friday was 158. It varies on how much I ate the day before, how hydrated I am and how my scale feels like treating me each day!) I wouldn't go back to where I was for anything!!! Hang in there, the scale WILL start to move, and you WILL lose!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
