Augh, please stop the bickering Andy.

What it boils down to is do your homework and research.

I can answer that. A forum called obesity help. Thats exactly where I read that. I know because I searched gastric sleeve deaths in Mexico on google.

I had a great experience with Dr Kelly and have recommended him to my family. My doctor here has taken Dr Kelly's info to give to both her family and her patients, she is so impressed with his skills, price, and my results. Here is the link where Dr Kelly was initiated and recently became a member of the prestigious American College of Surgeons:

I am currently working with Trish, my surgery is the 23rd of March, and she seems fine with Dr. Kelly to me.

Has said nothing but nice things about him. So I don't know.

No, Trish is not throwing Dr. Kelly under a bus. That was reserved for other people :)

So the original poster on this thread is a deceitful lanceur de merde posing as someone seeking WLS and honestly posting his/her findings and inquiries. It’s scary enough for Dr Kelly’s patients he lost a patient on the table during an elective procedure. As others have pointed out, we don’t know what happened. Why pile on Dr Kelly with utter rubbish? Unbelievable!

I have been working with Trish also and have my surgery scheduled for March 9th. All of this drama is making me so nervous. I was originally scheduled with Dr Garcia, read someone's horror story and changed surgeons and co-ordinators. This is all so stressful!

After getting the call from Trish today telling me she no longer works for Dr. Kelly, I have put my surgery on hold.... I am also sick of the drama and it is very stressful... I bought my plane tickets today but returned them I was also putting down my deposit today... So I am pretty frustrated... :(

DDFinn,

Trish did not have anything negative to say about anyone she is a classy lady but I think maybe I just need to step back and reevaluate everything...

Did you already book your surgery or were you looking to book?

You are freaking me out because I am booked with Trish for Dr. kelly and now you go ahead and say this making me wonder if my surgery is going to be cancelled.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
