Clothing Size Problem

Recommended Posts

My women's size 18s are too big. Women's size 16 fits (16W), but after that i see a problem. Due to the size of my caboose, I need women's sizes. A regular size 16 is too small and there are no size 14 womens - at least not at JCP. I guess I have to wear the 16W until I loose enough weight to fit into regular size 16s.

Thoughts?

You might want to try some other stores. They might have different cuts that fit your body shape better. For example, Old Navy has three or four different styles you could try. Otherwise you could buy a bigger "regular" size and just have it taken in. I wouldn't waste too much money on this while you're still shrinking though.

That's funny. I was going to try Old Navy next. I don't waste too much money. I like to have a least 5 pairs of pants (one of them denim), I just bought a pair of Lee jeans and while they fit in the waist, they are horribly baggy in the thighs. They were $20.

In most stores, bigger regular sizes start at 16, but tomorrow I go to Old Navy. Usually I'd go on Ebay, but I'm at a weird place and have to try things on. Once I get into the size 6-14 range I have plenty of clothes stored - Ones that don't seem to go out of style.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
