Home From Vegas ... Gained 3 Lbs

Recommended Posts

ok so here is the deal.. went to vegas came home... gained 3 lbs.. and honestly i guess thats not terrible seeing as how i didn't really follow any type of diet while i was out there.. and obviously didnt work out at all.. and drank like a fish... PLEASE NO BODY FOLLOW MY INCREDIBLY BAD EXAMPLE... now i need to get back on track cuz i have this sneeking suspicion that i am not going to lose one more pound without some serious effort...

heres why im posting.. since a week before i left i haven't lost any weight been sitting at 202, and i swear all i wanted to do was make it to onederand before my vegas trip.. obviously didnt happen.. and im not trying to write about a stall, but i am trying to find out if my last 56 lbs are gonna come off at all a little easily.. cuz dang.. thats just gonna suck.

Well, you won't get to goal if you have very many trips to Las Vegas. Now it's time to get back to basics with Protein, veggies, very little carbs, and mostly protein. Back to exercising and you should start losing really soon. You will lose the excess. Time to get back to work and I hope you had a wonderful trip. ;)

I hope you had a blast in Vegas! Don't beat yourself up for the gain. Think about what you would have gained if you didn't have the sleeve!!!

Now that the vacay is over, time to get back on track. It may take a few days, but that scale will start moving again in the right direction and that will inspire you to do better.

I had the same thing happen over Christmas. Took me about 10 days to get things back on track and then the weight started coming off again. I've lost 12 pounds since then. Keep you chin up sister!!

thanks ladies! lol.. i think i was just really tired yesterday cuz i apparently wasn't thinking.. i always weigh myself in the mornin and when i weighed yesterday it was mid day after i ate.. so when i reweighed this morning i realized id only gained a pound.. which is sooooo much better than the 3, but its still a gain regardeless.. which means definitely need to get back to routine..

and since i wont be drinking a ton of alcohol i think i should be ok.. lol

But either way you are right..BACK TO BASICS! and hopefully i will be be losing soon, now the next problem i have to conqeur is the fact that im about to start my period which means inevitable gain. lol ugh.. the joys of being a woman!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
