Nsv - I Fit In My Bathtub!

Recommended Posts

I have been a shower taker rather than a bath taker for many years. Don't normally take the time for long, decandent soaks in the tub. Also, when we moved into our current house four years ago, I discovered I really didn't fit in our tub. Even though it was a large whirlpool tub - when I got in it with the correct amount of Water (so the Water didn't go into the overflow drain) there were large (pun intended) parts of me that couldn't get under the water level. Not a relaxing expererience. And the bathroom has way to many mirrors that replicated the sight of my too large self not fitting into the tub. I think I took two baths in that tub in four years.

Well, I took a long, luxurious soak this afternoon. ALL PARTS OF ME fit under the water level! It was wonderful. I loved it!

Needless to say - no pictures with this NSV. :-)

That's one of my "want to do" things. Our new apartment has a small oval tub and I find it too hard to get down and up.

I was surprised to notice the difference in my big soaking tub too!! This girl loves her bubbles... it's actually my favorite thing about our new house, and now it's more comfortable than ever!!

I love this!!! After all of our hard work we deserve to be able to relax and enjoy some "ME" time. No better place than a warm, relaxing bubble bath.

awesome!! I can't wait to see if my bathtub feels big enough once I'm not too big!!

My big moment recently was putting on a pair of underwear that I hadn't been wearing much because any time I'd move they'd roll down under my gut... they don't roll down any more!! Love it!!

Aw, hey, now... I have a beautiful whirlpool tub in my bathroom that I have NEVER used, for many of the same reasons, Sharon--too many mirrors, too much me.... I think I might just have to revisit that tub!! Thanks for the reminder of a very pleasant possibility!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
