Karen B45 38 Posted February 6, 2012 I am having my surgery in Mexico on March 15th. I downloaded the "What to take to the Hospital" checklist and it seems very helpful, but I am wondering about what kind of clothes I should take to wear after surgery. I have read that most people stay in their hospital gown while at the hospital, but what do you take for wearing at the hotel? My sister who had surgery in the US in December was pretty much in bed most of the first week, so I was thinking nightgowns for the hotel, but I have also been reading a bit where people talk about walking around shopping after their surgery in Mexico. So maybe loose sweats? I am just looking for what others have done in this situation. I don't want to have to pack too much, but want to make sure I take enough. I know, weird thing to ask about when there are so many other things going on, but I am a practical woman and the devil is in the details, right? Suggestions/advice would be appreciated, TIA! Foxbins 625 Posted February 6, 2012 I wore yoga pants when I wasn't in my nightgown or hospital gown and they were fine. I wore them back on the plane, too. You want soft, stretchy, not-tight-around-the-waist-or-abdomen pants because I was all puffed up from the CO2 gas and I didn't want a waistband anywhere near an incision.
