Karen B45 38 Posted February 5, 2012 So with all the things that I have to think about, I can't believe this is bugging me, but it is....anyone who has had surgery in Mexico, can you please tell me what you did about tipping the driver who took you to/from the airport and the hotel? I want to make sure I tip appropriately, but also am trying to keep to a budget on the trip. Any advice would be appreciated!
adamsmom 4 Posted February 6, 2012 I asked the ame question on the other fpurm--answers varied - 5-20 bucks, depending on diffiernt scenarios. Some akso tipped nurses, etc.
ShannonH 34 Posted February 6, 2012 That's not a stupid question at all! I'd love to hear what people have to say. Normally I vacation in Jamaica, and tip my driver $5-$10, but there's a "no tipping" policy at the resort, because it's all inclusive.
jenni_867 14 Posted February 6, 2012 I tipped 20 when he picked me up, and i was planning on tipping 20 back as well, but ended up having to pay cash for part of my hotel stay (long story, supposed miscommunication with dr and coordinator)... So anyways tipped 10 on the way back. The only reason i tipped so much was because the driver, ricardo, was so awesome. He's a super nice guy
SouthernSleever 228 Posted February 6, 2012 I tipped 20 there and back. He carried all my things for me and was super sweet.
