Stupid Question -- Tipping

Recommended Posts

So with all the things that I have to think about, I can't believe this is bugging me, but it is....anyone who has had surgery in Mexico, can you please tell me what you did about tipping the driver who took you to/from the airport and the hotel? I want to make sure I tip appropriately, but also am trying to keep to a budget on the trip.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I asked the ame question on the other fpurm--answers varied - 5-20 bucks, depending on diffiernt scenarios. Some akso tipped nurses, etc.

That's not a stupid question at all! I'd love to hear what people have to say. Normally I vacation in Jamaica, and tip my driver $5-$10, but there's a "no tipping" policy at the resort, because it's all inclusive.

I tipped 20 when he picked me up, and i was planning on tipping 20 back as well, but ended up having to pay cash for part of my hotel stay (long story, supposed miscommunication with dr and coordinator)... So anyways tipped 10 on the way back. The only reason i tipped so much was because the driver, ricardo, was so awesome. He's a super nice guy :)

I tipped 20 there and back. He carried all my things for me and was super sweet.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
