Gaining weight after liquids

Can someone please help me? I lost 9 pounds in 10 days. But now I am on mushies and I have gained 3 pounds back. Is this normal and how much will I gain?

The first month after surgery is more about healing and getting your Proteins. A lot of people gain at first, don't worry. After you start getting your fills things will change.

Hi, Monica!

I definitely have a pattern of losing a chunk of weight, then regaining a few pounds (usually 2-3, but sometimes 4), then holding steady...then losing another chunk, regaining a few, holding steady...you see the pattern? Try tracking your weight on fitday.com (it's free), or on something, and see what your pattern is.

Most of all, DON'T PANIC! This is a long journey, and requires a big picture point of view. Along the way, your body will need some time to adjust to a new weight, and give you the dreaded "plateau" also!

It's all going to be okay....keep posting and asking questions!

I haven't been banded yet and I am so glad I read Mousecrazy's reply! I would definitely have panicked if I had started gaining after the surgery!!!! Thanks!
