out there for us nw bandsters.. I am doing pretty well, still feel back pain under my diaphram on my port side if I sit or stand too long.

This post has been really quiet. Is everyone okay - Newly banded people out there? I am coming close (next Wednesday) I purreed food to my diet in 1 oz increments, I havent quite hit bandster hell yet, but food is smelling really good. I only want one little slice of pizza, not four pieces!... I get my first fill on the 29th before i go on vacation and am very excited about this.

I am mourning some over my vacation because we always drink, eat like kings, play in the garden (I go to lopez island every year) etc...

Do you think I could sneak a drink of wine in or something while I am on vacation??? I know some dr. say it is okay, but mine is very conservative and I truly respect all he has asked his patients to do as post surgery requirements.. has anyone tried to have a glass of anything yet here or there?

ALSO Crab.... If I mush it up, would that be considered a puree/mushie? has anyone tried that at 6-8 wks post op yet as well???

I am on a loosing streak again and loosing quite a bit this week. I attribute a lot of it to working as i am slammed and running around the office feeling like i have just ran a marathon.

Still doing Terrible on exercise though. BUT - I did buy Dance Dance Revolution which I can hook up to my hubby's xbox 360. You put the pad on the floor and it has an excercise section to get a work out. Sounds funny but I think it will be more fun for me than walking - te he...

Anyhow - All you northwesterners take care and please don't fade away. All your support has been invaluable to me!

Seems like a lot to keep up on the posts. I just updated my Avatar and I am hoping my other photo stayed within my signature. We'll see.

Yay! I can see results and progress in my face. 19 lbs down and lots more to go. I hope next month we can all post a phot of our progress. I am planning on the 2nd June meeting at St. Josephs. Can anyone let me know when it is? I think next Monday?? Is there a meeting AT St. Francis at all?

Pinenut...

St Joe's support group is next the 1st & 3rd Monday at 6:45, so we meet on Monday the 18th...hope to see you there.

My husband asked last night if anyone wanted chili, I say "YES!!!" He thougth I was kidding and laughed at me. Blended chili is pretty good! I think I'll have the leftfovers for lunch today!

I'm somewhat enjoying my closet right now. 4 Weeks ago I was plowing through trying to find my more roomy clothes that would fit, now it pretty much all fits, and some it too big...fun! My clothes may not be fancy...I haven't wanted to shop for years b/c nothing looked good anyhow, but at least they fit better now. Helps me remember, as I sit here with ny tummy growling, that it IS and WILL BE worth it!!!

Hello everyone,

Well I'm two days post-op now and feeling pretty good. No gas pain really to speak of. Lots of diarrhea (sp!) though. It definitely does help to sleep in the recliner. I did that part of last night and it was much better than laying flat. The laying flat part isn't too hard it's when you try to get up. OUCH!!

I'm feeling pretty good. SOOOOOO glad that it's over and ready to start the new me!!

Thanks for everyone's support.

Hi,

Hourieh,I live in the Lake Stevens area near Frontier Village. I'm going to Dr. Hunter in Fed. Way because I had trouble finding someone who would take Medicare in this area. So I guess my surgery will be at Virginia Mason/Seattle. First they are insisting that I lose 30 lb. so that's what I'm working on now. I've lost about 12 lb. in the last 8 days... eating very little & one Protein Drink a day. Tonight my husband gave me a little tiny sliver of his pizza & now I feel very sick to my stomach!! Bad decision! Are you going to a support group anywhere?? I guess I need to find one. I am hoping to have my surgery later this summer.

dawneb...

CONGRATS!!! Glad to hear you're doing well. Just make yourself a priority for a bit & I know you'll do well. When I did want to lay flat i put a pillow under my knees to take the preasure (stretch) off the tummy.

Gas hit me day 4 and WOW! Just remember if it does...WALK...WALK...WALK!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been trying to keep up on reading post's but then run out of time when I want to post one plus this site is a lot slower than it used to be before all the advertisment's....

Anyway, congrat's Dawn - don't over due it and rest!! The gas didn't hit me until about 4 days later too.

I already had my first fill last Thursday - wierd!!! It was pretty quick, my appointment was at 9 am and I was out of there by 9:35 am. I lost 16 lbs in the last month and I'm down 32 since April 17th; the day I started my pre-op liquid diet. I'm still nervous about being successful even though I'm loosing becaue I'm at a weight I was at for a long time before gaining so much the last few years. Then I start worrying about if I loose all the weight and then will I be left w/tons of extra skin and need a lower body lift.... Ouch!!! I don't think I could go through with it!

Anyways, clothes are feeling loose now and I think I've gone down at least one size and that feels great! My blood pressue is also down so I'm curious to see what my blood work will show in a couple months. I have high cholesterol and my blood sugar was kind of borderline (no suprise there!).

Sorry for not posting but I have been reading and sounds like everyone is doing so well ;)

I'm posting before I go back and read all I've missed. I've been off for a few days getting ready for a bridal shower for my sons fiance at my house. Also I will be gone for a week starting next Tuesday for a family reunion. This is scarry considering I haven't had my first fill yet and I have no restriction. I'm just praying I don't gain weight while I'm gone.

Hi all,

OMYgosh this has been a busy week. My son graduated from HS friday nite and we had a party all day and nite today (Saturday). I was pretty naughty and grazed on junk all day. I don't feel too good. UGH. Just have to get through Fathers Day tomorrow and get back to the basics. OH MAN. I want to throw out the rest of the cake, but I think people will get mad at me. I still may ask tomorrow how they all feel about tossing it.

I see that Wendy is online right now..... Hi Wendy! Let's go walking Monday!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
