hadouni 301 Posted January 25, 2012 I just realized I've only been taking half the amount of Calcium they want me to take! I ordered some of the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews and they just arrived. I opened them up and figured I'd give them a try (my insurance nurse thought the chews would be preferable to gummies) and realized I'd have to take SIX to get all the calcium! That means it's a 10 day supply! I paid $38 and change after shipping for three bags. That's more than a dollar a day for calcium alone! I guess I've got to make up for all the food I'm not buying! After discovering that I needed six, I looked at the bottle of the gummies I'd been taking and they were 500 units per serving but a serving is two, not one! OOPS!! I've only been taking three a day. Now I need to look at the B12...
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted January 25, 2012 LOL, no problem, at least you caught it now. Just start taking the recommended dose. I thought I was taking sublinquial B12 but found out it was not sublinqual, it was to be taken orally. My bad, so now I need to go buy some. Congrats! you caught it... MoonSiren 48 Posted January 25, 2012 Yeah no kidding! Those chews are very pricey. When I'm done with my bags, I am going to Sams to get the chocolate calcium chews there. I had a sample of one and it was really tasty and went down nicely.
hadouni 301 Posted January 25, 2012 I would totally by the bulk chews at costco but it's Calcium carbonate and my surgeon is very specific on calcium citrate, not carbonate. I need to google the difference between the two...
dominique 34 Posted January 26, 2012 I made the mistake of getting the costco chews. They were the wrong type. We need calcium citrate. My NUT at the post-op meeting told me. BUT, she also told me about the liquid Calcium at costco.com (not in stores). They have a 2-pack. It was almost 1/2 what GNC had and I like the taste better. LilMissDiva Irene 3,282 Posted January 26, 2012 I believe that costco or Sams Club DOES have calcium citrate chews. Someone on Facebook posted a picture of it one day. I'm going to have to go back and find it.
