Ok... sooooo... mine's not too ambitious. I'm going to try to do something physical for 30 minutes a day, at least 3 times a week. I know, I know.. that's super weak, but, it's all I got!

I am also going to try to lose a grand total of 8 lbs in the entire month. Ugg, that's really pushing it for me, but I'll try!!

Since Wed is the 2nd, at that's my next weigh-in day, I'll aim for 8 lbs less than whatever I weigh on Wed!

(Kim, that's a hard enough challenge, sticking with the post op diet! Totally ok! )

Thanks for your support, okay I am fine ith my challenge. I used to feel liek I was a weak person that I decided to have this surgery and Now I don't think so..aftre alll five - six weeks of not sheating and yogurt/cottage cheese ,and then clear fluids, full fluids and then pureed. So I am happy with that and I thank you for your support! Oh and I bet you're too young to know the Mandy tune, it made manilow famous!

Ok, so I exercise 6x a week, 50 minutes of cardio each day and weight training 3x a week. So I'm going to keep that up and I'm going to challenge myself to lose 10 pounds in August. Good luck to all!

Well, I'll go for 10 pounds for the month and 64 oz of Water everyday. I'm not going to make any excercise committment until next month. I have too many irregular things going on this month, and if we get another flippin' hot spell again I'll find it really difficult to go walking. I'll do my best, though.

Oohhh... the heat. I'm sure it's not nearly as hot here as in ON, but WAY more hot than in SK! I hope this is my last 'more fat than I wanna be' summer, cause I can't take it anymore! My BF suggested we go to this hiking area nearby, and I walk it while he runs. I said "Uhh... I dunno, not if it's this damn hot" but... maybe I will do it. It'll be in the evenings, so it shouldn't be AS bad. Guess I HAVE to get my stupid exercise in. GRRR!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
