Perfectly honest... very very close. I had to have PS intervention to get this close, but I'm over the moon with my results. It's still hard to get it fully implanted in my brain that I'm done, but seriously every day gets better. It really is hard to imagine I'm done when I spent the last 6.5 years of my life trying VERY HARD to get here.

In about 2 years time I will revisit and see if I want to get the skin removal surgeries. Until then I'll just work on maintaining what I have now and enjoy life. :)

I've gone from 350 to 275 and am thrilled with my body even as it is now. I've always been obese so I have no concept of what it would be like to weigh what is considered "normal". Since I'm in my mid-50's I don't want to have to have more surgery to remove excess skin so my plan is to just get to a place where I'm healthy; I'll still be overweight by some standards but as long as I'm happy and healthy I don't care what anyone else thinks.

I often day dream about having "the perfect body". But, as I am losing, I am finding that I keep finding things wrong (when I am looking). I think that even if I get that body...there will be SOMETHING for me to pick at myself about if I am looking for it. For me, at least, I will settle for "the perfect body with clothes on" :blush5: Then go from there!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
