ATeam 38 Posted January 17, 2012 I love Pilates. It tightens my bod up like no other. I am 5 weeks out- do you think its too early for me to start up again? Its alot of ab/tummy work so I am kind of nervous! I am also wanting to hit up some yoga again, but am not sure what the norm for those types of workouts would be! Thanks buddies! PdxMan 4,292 Posted January 17, 2012 From what I have seen here from many others who have posted on this topic, and from what my surgeon told me ... wait for the 6 week mark.
New in 2012 14 Posted January 17, 2012 I agree. I love Pilates too, but it is serious work on your core, so I would wait until at least the 6 week mark too.
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted January 17, 2012 My surgeon would not give me a release to exercise until I was 2 months. I'd ask your surgeon for a release to exercise.
andersonlj 32 Posted January 17, 2012 I would say yes as I am just 5 weeks out and the only thing that I am doing is walking on the treadmill and doing some light weights with just my arms that do not put pressure on my stomach area.
shemom83 0 Posted February 27, 2012 I'm glad you posted this question, I'm at 5 weeks today. Called to see if I could start back on my pilates machine. Would really love to start using the rebounder attachment, worried about working the lower abs, I don't want to . Waiting on answer from Dr. office.
